I would check out the OOT Bag threads before you go buying stuff, some tell you what people used and didn't. Biggest thing I found was Bubba Kegs for the guests....most people say their guests used them all week. That said, Welcome and Happy Planning!

Hi Liz T - We are Wedding Date Twins at the same Resort! We are getting married at the Majestic Elegance on the 14th too, at 1:30pm at the beach. Haven't firmed all the details with the resort yet but way cool. What time is your ceremony and where are you having it? Hi All, I am trying to figure out when to have our first dance. My FI and I are getting married at 1:30 on the beach then am going to have a cocktail hour, have to make sure the resort can do it right after the ceremony....so the question is should we have our first dance(s), ours, father daughter and mother son, and speeches at the cocktail hour or should we, after the dinner provided by the resort go back to the gazebo and have our dance there? Funds are tight so we are not going to have a 'reception' there, I thought after dinner we would all hang out at one of the bars on the resort before the dance club opens. Opinions are welcome. I am emailing our resort to confirm the cocktail hour and location after our ceremony tomorrow. Thanks all

Ladies I went by Dollarama at lunch today and they have those bathing puffs 3 for $1.00. They are the smaller size but better than using a face cloth to wash in the shower.

Hi wife2B and jamie0820 - it's all going to be ok. Just go with the flow - and have a great time. I know my wedding is still 4 months away but from every review I've read, it will work out. Everyone is different when it comes to levels of service, and the resorts will not be able to please all people at all times. I've read just as many good reveiws as bad reviews on the trip sites, the best you can do is plan to deal with things if they pop up. So pack extra immodium or pepto for upset stomachs, tell your guests to use their safes and not bring too much cash. You can always cancel credit cards if they get stolen. Also - everyone going is an adult, they decided to come and spend this week with all of us, it's not our duty to make sure they have a good time, but to thank them for coming to spend this special day with us. Please though, write back and tell me about your bouquets - did you get to pick them before you get there? Just wondering, I am at the planning stage you both were 4 months ago hahaha

I only have one bridesmaid and while I did get her some jewlery for the dress (just costume but it looks nice with the dress) - I was thinking of taking her and her husband out on an excursion with us, most likely swimming with the Dolphins as my FI would love to do that, as her gift. Do you think that's enough?

Ladies, if you are looking for fans, Michaels has them for $30 for 18 - but if you can wait til the fall when they stop the constant 30% off sale on their wedding favours then you can use the 50% off 1 item and they go down to less than $1.00 each and they are good quality fans. I am getting married at 1:30 in the afternoon so I am getting fans for everyone's OOT bags. And since I'm not getting married until November - I can wait....

Found Bubba Kegs on line at Firefly Buys - 6 of the 34 oz ones for $40.00. That's the best deal I've found so far, and looking at sizes, the 52 oz is too big and the 20 oz too small so I'm thinking 34 oz....

If anyone is looking for travel candles, they have individual candles in little tins at Micheals for $1.50 each. Just in case the rooms are a little musty, I am buying these for my OOT bags and Dollarama has wooden matchsticks, 10 boxes for $1.00.

Hi, getting married at ME in Nov, was the reception worth it? Not sure we want to pay $500 per hour for that, thought maybe we'd all just hang out in one of the bars til the night club opened....they do have a night club right?

Hi All, I just booked the ME through my travel agent for Nov 14th at 1:30pm on the beach. We are going to do a symbolic ceremony first here in Canada before we leave. Do you have to book a reception in order to play music from a docking station if you bring it? Because we are getting married early, I thought we'd do our first dance after the wedding at the beach then go for pictures....do you think that's odd?

Hi Digado, I'm from Windsor, ON and considering the NH Real for my wedding in November....I just got a 72 page book emailed to me by the resort, it's got some good info but no prices for upgrades from the regular packages. If you haven't checked out the page with where a lot of brides posted what they would / wouldn't do again. I really recommend it, but it's tons of pages so if you read it all, it will take hours. It helped me make some of my decisions, like not getting a bigger cake, and maybe spending more on a photographer / photography package by the resort(haven't decided what I'm doing there yet). I can't wait til next season starts! I agree too many supernaturals are coming out of the woodwork but I want to see what happens next.
