I also forgot to add- keep her OUT of the wedding party. Just like she asked.

Good advice Amygirl. I'm totally like you. I tend to give a few chances to work things out, and if they don't CUT. Something I'm ALSO working on. Years of doing things this way, but I think I'm realizing that life cannot always work like that. I think for the sake of family sanity, I would invite and keep the distance, as Amygirl said. I mean, what's the worst that she can do at your event? Don't stress about it and let her ruin your mood though. I think that's what I would do. OH and I have to add- what a b&*(& for lying to your inlaws! That would infuriate me, but doing the invites would at least make you the better woman. You can also keep fingers crossed that she just doesn't show up!

RIU RM Palace Brides??

Haha Lisa, let's HOPE it comes off of the chest! Lifelong battle! It should be fine- I know I have some unwanted 'backfat' that can be toned up. Thanks for the input on the music, it def put FI at ease since he has really wanted this detail to do himself. -
Overall no. Getting a new puppy and having to give so much time has been wonderful, but to be honest, it has made FI and I realize that we don't want children for a long time. We are selfish with our time together. Brings me to my question: Are you and FI on the same page with the idea of having kids?

Wow girls everyone is doing awesome! Everyone has me blown out of the water on their progress. All I've done is - received my dress (doesn't fit, long story, thank GOD for alterations!) - bought centerpieces - Finished luggage tags - Picked groomsmens outfits (our little nephews) Argh. Ok, but i a week in a half, I'm headed to Denver for my 1st of two bachelorette parties and to pick out the girls outfits. I'm having the 1 bachelorette in Denver for my closest friends, one def cannot make it to MX, the other is still up in the air. The second will be in MX two days before the wedding! We're doing a catamaran, snorkeling, drinking etc. yay! So I still have a lot to do. But I'm not worried. Just excited! We have 35 totally booked with 7 more RSVP'd that have not booked yet. Way more than I thought which is really great. Happy planning ladies! The countdown is on for us!!

RIU RM Palace Brides??

Alright ladies, I'm not panicking, but the dress pick up did not go well. So here's the story- I tried on the sample dress and it fit (if it had minor alterations, siggy pic) except the mid back didn't zip up because I'm pretty busty. SO when I ordered, the owner of the bridal salon said that Pronovias was changing their sizing structure, and adding a couple inches to the sizes. So what they did is order the sample size for me thinking that it would be fit. I thought it would be perfect, then I could take it in where I needed to. WELL that didn't happen. My dress fits SMALLER than the sample dress did! They even took my measurements and I've even lost a few inches here and there. The measurements of my dress take it to about a size or less than the sample. We all kind of freaked out a bit, because my dress took over 3 months to come in and my wedding is in 4 1/2. But then they brought the seamstress in, and she assured that even if I don't lose any more weight (which I totally plan on doing. That bikini isn't wearing itself!) that the dress has enough fabric in the seams and zipper to let it out to fit me. So they completely reassured me-- now my crazy goal is to be able to fit into this damn dress WITHOUT alterations (but I obviously cannot shrink my boobs)! But the reassurance that it will not matter is nice. All in all- slightly stressful, but motivating. Also- that salon obviously is lacking communication somewhere. Grrrr!!! -
MMMM Pizza, sushi, trivial pursuit-- all wonderful things!! Congrats on getting to your cheat day elifrigo- I did that diet for awhile- lost some weight, my body hated so many low carb days to start, so I do my own variation of it. Have a great cheat day! Ok, making me happy today- I pick up my wedding dress tonight- seeing it for the first time since November! Also, tomorrow I'm going up to Sausalito for some hiking with FI and my puppy. I only have 13 more minutes of work.... and of course I'm on BDW-- oh well it's FRIDAY!

I remember when I was itchin for the 150. I'm nowhere near where some of the girls on here, but you totally lose track once the addiction sets in!! Congrats

I heart this thread!! Here is my baby- Crosby. I got him two months ago, he is 6 months old now. This is him as a baby- I'll post a few more current but they're on another laptop: I never thought I could love an animal as much as I love and adore this little papillon!!

One of my best friends has been living in Durango for about 1 1/2 years because her hubby got a job there. She is not loving it! It totally depends on the person though. She is a total city girl. I'm glad you like it there!

Wish I could help you Island Bride, but believe it or not, I'm a CO native and I don't ski or snowboard! Well, I have before, but it's not something I enjoy. However, I would probably recommend either Keystone or Breck, just because they're only an hour or so from the city, and you could ski a few days, then explore around the city for a few days. I'm sure a skiier may have better advice for you. I don't know how much you're into music, but I would definitely check out Red Rocks Ampitheater schedule for your time out there to see if you like anyone that's playing. It is absolutely beautiful there, one of many must see's in CO!

Love the new siggy pic Sammysgirl! I am getting them made by Mishka- Mishka Designs' Blog She makes the most gorgeous ones, and you can personalize them to your color, theme, etc. She told me that the shipping to the US is outrageous, so my photog was gracious enough to let me ship them to her, and she will bring them. I can't wait to see them on my wedding day! It will be a fun surprise. I have another question for everyone- past brides, or those that have been in contact w/ the coordinator. What do you do for your ceremony music? I know in the packages it says 'recorded music' or something like that, but can I bring my own CD? I originally was going to do the mariachis, but since you only get them for an hour, I didn't want them standing around for a ceremony. Thought they might be better at the cocktail hour, AND FI really wants certain music to walk to.... -

I'll have to see someone in the next days to see how much it would cost to fix. In addition, the neckline is not exactly what I would like (this is not so bad, but added to the rest...). I knew I was taking a risk, but still... Was expecting to post nice pics tonight! Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that. It sounds fixable hopefully? I know that the whole point of ordering custom size is to not have to fix, but hopefully it is. Where did you get it from?

Congrats Paige!! Don't stress about the dress- maybe they will surprise you like they did me and it will come in early! They orignially told me late March at the earliest. I was originally a little sad it was early because I have a few lbs left to lose. I got over that quickly though Ok, Katie and Paige, I'm convinced. No seating chart, no placecards. I don't want to have to worry about a single thing on that day. It would probably just cause confusion. Check that off of the list- thanks! -
Long lost cousin invites me to her wedding?
LadyTrunck replied to LadyTrunck's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
As usual, thanks for the support ladies!! I played it cool, politely responded with my address, and will send a 'no' RSVP. I feel so much better about it now. I would have been in the same situation on the other side of the family, it is HUGE so no one got invited. Keeping the pattern alive! -

Sammysgirl- what a thoughtful FI you have! Glad everyone had a good Vday- Congrats on the one year Katie! I am so sorry to hear about your dress. Like Alexis said though- hopefully this is the worst that will happen. I know how you feel- my boutique that I’m getting my dress at is about 2 ½ hours away- what a pain to have driven all of that way! Hoping the best for you!! Also- GORGEOUS shoes! I have to say, I am partial to pink (my shoes are pink!) but they are both beautiful. I say keep em both, that way you’ll have a wedding pair and a fun pair. We can never have too many pairs of shoes. Thanks for the heads up Alexis! I’m not giving OOT bags, but mugs and welcome books. I was a tad nervous on how that would work. I have a question for all past and future brides. For those that are doing the semi private dinner, is anyone doing placecards/seating chart? I don’t think I’ve asked this yet--- I’m getting maracas made, and thought it would be cute to put guests names and Playa del Carmen, 2010 on them, but I’m afraid set up will be too difficult. Just wanted to see if anyone else was doing them and how it would work?
