  1. I just looked and my dates in May are still around $660..boooo....but thanks for sharing the info. And glad that you are able to book your trip!! It at least gives me hope that the prices will drop eventually...and like you said, I already have alerts set up on Kayak and Yapta to check pricing every day.
  2. Thanks for posting the review! Can't wait to hear more!! I have already contacted Ileana from TI to do our wedding and am trying to work out the timing. Our wedding is at 11am - this was not my choice, but it was the only time available when we booked) - and Ileana is saying that it's an awkward time to do pictures right after because the sun will be high, we'll be squinting, etc. So I'm interested in what time you did your pics with TI and how long did he photo shoot last off the property? I know the time isn't ideal, but I don't want to have this huge gap inbetween the ceremony and pics either because by then my hair and makeup will be a mess, lol I'm going to look at your pics now!!

I completely agree...especially with all the security cameras that jewelry stores have. I would think they would have been able to track who was handling the ring and where it went. I'm just glad they are giving you a more expensive ring...you def need to post pics!!
  4. Hi Kendall!! Congratulations and welcome to the forum!! I'm sorry to hear that your TA has not been able to help you. I think that you can still move your reservation over to a different TA if you aren't happy with who you're currenly using. I booked with TA Jennifer and she is wonderful to work with and if you've read thru this forum at all, you'll see she has tons of info and is super helpful. JMHO jerri-lee -- congrats and welcome back!! Have you done a review or posted any pics yet? I would LOVE to hear more about your wedding, and I'm sure other Beaches T&C brides would love to see as well!!

  6. If you search the forum you will find tons of info on this and I have seen brides post multiple ways of how they handled who they sent invites to. I personally sent out invites to everyone even tho I knew that not many people would be ble to attend. I just wanted to make sure everyone knew they were more than welcome to join us if somehow they were able to swing it.
  7. sort my clothes for the weddingmoon : don't need to do yet
  8. bbq's with friends : don't get to do enough
  9. I agree with what others have said...you def don't need to lose weight, and if I had to guess, I bet the dress shop screwed up the measurements!! Unless you know that you really have gained weight, I would for sure go back to the shop and demand that they reorder a new dress in the right size since this was this was their mistake. I also wanted to add that it's a beautiful dress and you look amazing in it!!

    Newbie!!

Hi Melissa...congratulations and welcome to the forum!! You'll find tons of info here for your dream DW. Happy planning!!
  11. If it's going to just be the 2 of you, I would def look at Beaches since the wedding is included with the cost of the resort, plus the resort looks amazing. I haven't read one review where a bride came back from Beaches and didn't just love the resort! We are having a very small wedding as well (just parents and siblings) and I just couldn't justify spending thousands of extra dollars for a big wedding package.

Two weeks would have been great but not in our budget. I am going to post a review that will hopefully be helpful to anyone going there when I get a chance. It wasn't hard to do the off resort wedding, I found a good wedding planner who made everything wonderful. Jamaica Wedding Planner, Negril Wedding Planner, Weddings in Jamaica, Destination Weddings, Wedding Planner in Jamaica, Getting married in Jamaica, Wedding in Jamaica That is her website Dawn Sherman was who I dealt with. I told her our budget and she took care of everything. I will work on getting some pics on here. I do have a few on facebook if you are on there? We were originally booked in Negril - I LOVE it there!! Would love to see your pics on fb if you want to PM me with you fb info
  13. I did a little bit of research on Hawaii in the beginning of my planning and we were looking for all inclusive as well. From what I found there are are very few all inclusives in Hawaii. However I did find one that looked very nice....Kona Village on the big island. Kona Village Resort | Kailua Kona, Hawaii
  14. Because Oct is coming up fairly soon, I would start checking prices daily and when you find the flight you want at a reasonable price...book it!! I really like using Kayak (kayak.com)....you can set up a request for the flight you are looking to book and the site will email you as often as you like (I have mine set to daily) with the best available price.
  15. I agree with what others mentioned - definitely mention the "adults only" part. I just received a wedding invite the other day to my cousin's wedding and it was addressed just to myself and FI, and I kind of figured that meant my son wasn't invited, but since it was family, and everyone is always in invited to everything in our family, I wasn't positive. So I emailed my aunt to find out and she confimed that yes, it was adults only. So I guess my point is some people may not be sure, so it's better to make it clear and not have anyone guess and end up bringing kids.
  16. My TA said yes, the BB package was included, but since Meagan has already had her wedding, I'm sure she can confirm this as well. There are so many room categories, it can get confusing!!
  17. Congratulations and welcome!! First, I would highly recommend using a TA from this site. I'm working with TA Jennifer and she's been wonderful! Second, if you have your hear set on the cliffs in Negril, I wouldn't rule it out because of cost just yet. First pick your TA and then tell them what you are looking for and you never know...they may have some reasonably priced resorts in Negrl for you My DW was originally booked in Negril but needed to change it (long story) but during my research, I did find a few locations in the cliffs that didn't seem to be expensive. But whatever you decide, have fun planning
