We are getting married on a Thursday, but we didn't really care too much what day of the week it fell on. The actual date - 5/5 - was more important than the day of the week. And our guests will be at the resort for a full week so I don't think the day made any difference to them either.

Meg, I know you absolutely loved your clay flowers, but I think some people have a hard time imagining what a "clay" flower would feel like. It just sounds so different, ya know? I bet if more people realized that the clay flowers are just as soft and look just as amazing as the real touch flowers then maybe they'd give clay flowers more consideration

Hi Rose!! I am not getting married on a cruise, but I have sailed on the Carnival Victory before (about a year and a half ago) and we def had a fabulous time on the ship. We had a balcony room on the spa deck and the view was gorgeous!! You are going to have a great time!! I have a question....what size bouquet did everyone order? Since our DW is a little more on the casual side I don't want anything huge and overwhelming, but I still want something full and lush. Just wanted to share some info that I received from my TA when I asked her about what room category to book. We originally had booked the French Village Luxury Walkout King room. We wanted a full balcony or patio and figured since the French Village is newer than the Caribbean Village, that it would be nicer. But after lots of debating I went back to our TA and asked her if she would recommend keeping the room we originally booked or what she thought about the French Village Luxury room or the Honeymoon Grande Luxe King. She said that while the French Village is newer than the Caribbean, that the Caribbean has been updated more recently, where as the French Village is just about due for some updates. I thought this was a good point and wasn't something I would have thought of. I was just thinking newer equals nicer. The Caribbean is also more centrally located, and closer to the beach. She said if given the choice she would take the Honeymoon Grande Luxe, which was also recommended to me by Meagan as well so we decided to go for it. The Honeymoon Grande Luxe is on the third floor so we should have a least some view of the resort, and it also has a full balcony not just a balconette like some of the french village rooms. I hope this may help other brides that are debating between room categories since there are SO many to choose from.

I apologize if this had been posted already - I tried searching and didn''t find anything. After all the great reviews that I've seen about Roberta -- PlumeriasWeddingFlowerBoutique -- I just went out to her site and it looks like she is no longer doing custom orders Everything is pre-made and you can only select from pre-made designs/colors. So I guess my question is, what other floral designers would you ladies recommend for Real Touch flowers? I mean the flowers that Roberta has on her site are pretty, but just not exactly what I was envisioning for my flowers.

That's a really good point...I didn't really think about the bugs. And I get bad reactions to bug bites so I don't want my legs all chewed up before the wedding! Maybe I'll look at the room categories again, lol. There are just many freakin choices!! Thanks for the input

So we finally booked our room and we went with the French Village Luxury Walkout King - yay!! I tried attaching a pic from the Beaches web site, so we'll see if that works. The pic is labeled as the Honeymoom French Village Luxury room but our TA said that those rooms have the balconettes like you mentioned Tucks, and that we needed to book the walkout if we wanted the full patio where we can actually sit outside. If it looks close to the pic, I think I'll be happy!! room.doc

I'm really sorry to hear about your loss, especially so close to your big day. I think both ideas are great with the empty chair and then some type of poem or reading to acknowledge him as well.

Well we finally have the resort booked so I just sent Ileana an email asking for more information on booking and pricing!!! The pics I've seen from other brides have been so amazing, I'm really looking forward to this!!

I vote for the same colors...at least that's what we are doing. I think the theme of everything kind of matching just ties in together nicely and like Cindy said, you can re-use stuff form the DW then as well.
