Everything costs so much! I am from NY so everything here is mega $$$, and while it is less than home the destination wedding is still going to cost a lot. If we had the no frills package with no guests it would be cheap, but the flowers are expensive, favors are expensive, and photographers are SOOO expensive! I want good pics more than anything, but FI doesn't really care about that so I said I would pay to save complaints, lol! just sit with your FI and figure out what is important to both of you and then negotiate something realistic.

I am anxious to see the flower options too! I do not really care about the cake, but I want to see all of the bouquets in the package before making a decision! I saw the punta cana bouquet options but it only had 2 for each color package so I am hoping they are different for the Cancun location!

That is weird b/c usually they make the dresses waaay small so you feel like a whale when you have to order a bigger size. I always order bigger b/c I would rather have it too big than too small and usually it is so far in advance I am afraid I would gain weight, but it sucks that when you follow the measurements exactly it still turned out wrong!

Which direction do people usually get? The horizontal or vertical? Which would be better for guests?

did anybody use an outside florist in Cancun or did everyone get silk flowers? I want to use Roberta but it is still going to cost a fortune with 8 bm and 2 jr bm... the resort bouquets are $120 each! It would be cheaper to use the silk, but do you think it is possible to buy them and split them into 2 separate bouquets?

So I went to the bridal building at 1385 Broadway and was VERY disappointed, what happened? It was under construction but there were only 2 bridal stores left! I thought the whole building would be bridal extravaganza but the guard said there are only shops on the 11 and 17th floor, we found the one on the 11th but didn't see the one on the 17. As we were leaving and grumbling another lady said the building next to Teddies (a bakery) right next door had bridal stuff too but we went in and it seemed like an office building so we just left! Then when I got home I got a call saying I had won a free hotel visit and I should go back and meet up with them. Do you think it is a scam? I don't need any of their services bc it is a destination! I just wanted to look at dresses!!!!!!!!! ps I LOVE walking through the garment district. My mom liked a few dresses in the windows, has anyone ever bought any mother or bm dresses from the shops around 37th? Next time I will go to RK bridals and hopefully I will get to try on some dresses, lol!!!!

Maybe you can push down or cut the peacock feathers, they are sticking up very high, or move the seashell to where the rhinestone buckle is, or get a smaller seashell.... I love the white flowers and feathers but the shell and peacock just look kind of random.

LOL!!! I am having the same argument with my FI, I showed him some TTD shots yesterday and his response was "we are NOT doing that! I don't want the whole vacation to be a photo shoot" little does he know that we ARE doing it, but I think getting him to do ttd and engagement is a little much. If your FI is anything like mine then he will probably be reluctant to do both, but maybe because they are so far apart and it is FREE then he will be amenable to it. IDK the new outfit bribe is brilliant! Just keep saying how happy it will make you and he will come around.

idk b/c my resort does not allow outside vendors, but maybe if someone went and picked them up that day it would work.... hmmm that is a thought, I will look into florists there, does anyone have a list or know any other ones

Some other Moon Palace brides were saying that it is very very hot even late. I am going to have my reception indoors because I want everyone to be comfortable. Do you know how much more it is to have it inside? I have been advised to get a dress made of taffeta, chiffon, or organza because it is light and flowy so it will be cooler.
