If anyone else is interested in doing a group session I would be willing to so that we can get the group rate. The group rate is so much more reasonable! $400 person is doable but $950 is SOOO MUCH!!! So if any other brides on here would be interested in booking with Kamila let me know! :-)

I used to work in a catering hall and always felt bad for people who had to wear brown bridesmaid dresses. Brown looked okay in the fall with the apple/fall centerpieces but it doesn't really match the summer/tropical location. I love your flower ideas and the color scheme but the wedding is going to be tropical with the ocean and sky and bright colored flowers, there is so much natural beauty that you can focus on that and put the girls in a neutral color... but brown is just too dark.

Hello, I am a member of RCI and I am trying to figure out if I should: 1. organize everything through RCI for my FH and guests (doesn't include air) 2. organize the week for me and my FH through them and my guests through a travel agent (including air) 3. organize the week for me and my FH through them and my guests through Moon Palace group plan 4. Organize everything through a travel agent so we are all set up together 5. Organize everything through Moon Palace to get the booking discount Does anyone have any experience? I saw some people bought weeks off of ebay on one of the threads. I want to use my RCI points to pay for a few people who will not be able to afford to go... but it might be better to book directly with the resort. What do you think?

Welcome! My FH is dead set on Moon Palace. His family is VERY picky and need everything immaculate and they all went there together and loved it. I have never been but his reviews of the place make it seem fantastic.

That is the struggle, do we go with what we want and whoever is able to afford it can come? or do we compromise so that more people can come but have it not exactly what we want...my FH was dead set on this resort, I just want somewhere away and I do not really care about the resort but he is so picky and will only stay at 5 star. Unfortunately my family is not really a 5 star type of family so it is a tough compromise.

I am also worried about the hair! My hair is not relaxed, it is natural and I do not know if they will even know what to do with it. What do you think? I will probably have to do it myself right?

you might have a problem in January with the weather leaving from Canada b/c of the snow.

I think I am going to invite the people I am close to and then have an at home reception after and invite the politically correct people(like the principal). I think that would work and nobody would be insulted...

Hello, How far in advance do I have to send out the Save the Dates/Invitations? If I want to have a wedding in August can I just send out the full invitation in March or is that too short notice for people?

I am worried too b/c my FI comes from a small family with money and I have a large family of regular people. He is not even concerned with anything and even has friends that could easily afford to go and here I am worried about getting my brother to go, lol! I feel your pain b/c I am not even sure that I want a DW b/c I want my relatives to be there... it will be okay whatever you choose.

Hello, I am new, and wondering if it is too late to plan a wedding for this August (2009) in Cancun at the Moon Palace. It would be small but I do not know if I sent out invites in March if that is too short notice for August. I am an educator so it has to be in the summer, but I do not want to wait til 2010 yet I still want the important people to be able to come. Any thoughts?
