  4. Love this thread! Must have: Fiance Family and friends Great food Super fun party with great music Non stop flight to the resort Don't care: Elaborate spa packages Wedding party Lots of activties during the weekend (I want guests to enjoy themselves at their leisure and not feel bogged down with a lot of wedding stuff).
  5. I sent out the STDs in January for our December wedding. I am planning on sending my invitations out very early, in May, because I really need a head count for budget purposes. MY RSVP date is June 30, 2009.
  6. Thanks ladies!!! I worked really hard on them and it's nice to know that people other than me like them I got all the supplies from paperandmore and LCI paper. I printed the boarding passes and labels for the envelopes on my laser printer at home and I printed the jackets at work because the card stock I used was too heavy for my home printer. envelopes: pink azalea #10 ticket jacket:pearl white metallic card stock #107 (this was extra heavy and I used the laser printer at the office. shhhhh!) boarding passes: 80 lb metallic paper in beargrass Ribbon: Michael's crafts. Other supplies I used was a corner cutter, paper fasteners to attach the pieces of the boarding passes together and a glue gun. I attached the templates I used in case you guys want them. The ticket jacket template I got off here and the boarding pass template I got through googling. STD seahorses_print file.doc STD ticket jacket template.doc
  7. I am getting my beach towels from here: Beach Towels wholesale manufacturer of custom embroidered monogrammed bath towel for corporate events And I made this logo myself for the towels which they will embroider on for $3.00 per towel additional:
  8. While I think it is extremely rude that the GF invited her family members to your wedding without asking you, I think it's nice that they want to come and celebrate your special day with you. Sure the extra money factor is an inconvenience but in the grand scheme of things, what's a couple extra hundred bucks, ya know? Plus, if your cuz is engaged to this girl, the mom and brother are going to be family.
  9. I don't think it is a big deal to have the same date although, like you said, looking ahead if either of you plan something big for your anniversary you'll always have to keep in mind that you are sharing the date which could maybe cause some obstacles.
  10. Great pics! You girls look like you were having quite a good time.
  11. Panchos! Their tortilla soup is to die for!!!! Pancho's Restaurant - House of the Best Mexican Food in Los Cabos, Mexico!..
  12. I watch this show too! Bethanny is hysterical. I love Jill too. Believe it or not Alex and Simon are growing on me this season. Tuesday's episode was so funny! I like Luann last season but I agree with you all.... she is such a snob this season. Get over yourself already! I don't mind Kelly so much. Maybe becase she is an equestrian. I used to ride as a kid and really miss it. Ramona's eyes freak me out!
  13. Lauren, I would suggest emailing Nayeli requesting to work with her since you started planning with her and that is where your comfort level is. It's getting close to crnch time for you. You don't need the added stress of having a lack of confidence in Yamina. She is new and still learning I'm sure. I received my first email back from Yamina tonight and she was able to answer my questions. I CCed Nayeli though, as I do on all my notes. Maybe that had something to do with it? Good luck!
  14. We're staying at the resort we are getting married at for 2 weeks. To get some alone time, we requested our room to be in another area of the resort. Most guests are just staying 5 days - Sat wedding and most are leaving Mon and we'll leave the following Sun.
  15. My sister got married there in 2007. Personal reasons kept me from being able to attend but she and everyone else who attended had nothing but great things to say about it.
  16. HI lauren, It's frustrating sometimes dealing with people who speak english as a second language. I am sure Yamina is not dense - maybe there is just a language barrier there and she is not understanding your question. I have had the same issues while dealing with some of the vendors I am using. I have some suggestions for you: 1. Rephrase the question and CC nayeli on the note (nayeli speaks EXCELLENT english). 2. Call Nayeli and just ask her. 3. Use babelfish to translate your question into spanish: ¿Cuándo deben las huéspedes llegar para mi ceremonia de boda del 6:00 P.M.?
  17. Did y'all decide what you are planning to do for music? I am going to send back paperwork to DJ Doremixx tomorrow. He is charging $450 for 4 hours and $50 for a sound system to use at the ceremony. Even with having to pay the vendor fee, it is still way less expensive to use an outside DJ rather than the resorts.
  18. I've booked Cecilia Dumas for our wedding photos in December. I am so excited with our choice!
