    What about Dominican Republic ..."Melia Caribe is a beautiful resort and the wedding gazebo is one of the most beautiful and in a tropical garden.     I don't have a bridal party but wanted to tell you I am sorry you are having a hard time. Have you personally talked to them ? maybe they don't realize the urgency although, I really think their cavalier attitude towards your wedding is very disapointing. What about having only your sister and FI''s brother, they seem to be the ones who care and are on the ball at this point. It would be less stressful for you.

    It's just the 2 of US, can't be smaller but I am finding out, not necessarily cheaper but I agree there are a lot of complimentary weddings in the AI resorts.

    Welcome Maui fellow bride :-) it is just the 2 of US also, we are staying at the Fairmont but having our wedding at the chapel of the Grand Wailea and after taking pictures at Makena cove, we will most likely have a romantic diner in a cabana( still deciding between Gran Wailea or Kea Lani)

    I can understand your frustration, sometimes money is not an issue but you want things done right. There is one thing I learned is to have the wedding coordinator take care of everything. I personally think that vendors are more careful when dealing with them because they do not want to loose their business not to mention the peace of mind.

    Everyone has given some great suggestions . Personally, since I am a worrier and I would be watching the weather channel if it were going to rain or not, I would find a cheaper restaurant, that way, no worries about renting chairs, tables, and weather. I am sure everything is going to fall into place and you will have a beautiful weddng.
