Well, As another Colorado bride my suggestion is to have an engagement party this summer - and call it an engagement party - just to keep it wedding related otherwise it sounds like a BBQ. This is a special time in your life and you deserve to have everything related to it to be special! We're getting married in November and I TOTALLY understand your icy road concerns. We're having an AHR brunch the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It's usually still somewhat warm and we're doing it in the morning/afternoon to avoid icy roads just in case. Good luck!

Oh Dez, I am so sorry this is going on now. The only advice I have for you is to (forgive me if I sound harsh) - no more wedding talk with him. FI sounds like he needs some you and him time. Focus your energy on being a little more attentive to him. He really sounds like he has a lot on his plate (not that you don't) - but with his prior issues, he needs it more kwim? I would also make sure he got back in with his therapist - pronto! Is there another type of med that he can take? I am so sorry you guys are going through this. ALSO - LAY OFF THAT DIET FOR A FEW DAYS - You guys have done great - treat yourselves to a nice dinner and then go back into a low cal lifestyle. You deserve it. We will be here for you when you want to talk wedding - Get him to a more stable place. I know with us, I am wedding, wedding, wedding and things seem to go so fast that for for the men it can be a bit overwhelming.

I would try another booking company (if that makes sense) I had the same problem at RIU Vallarta. My TA was using Gogo Vacations for most of our bookings - we used all of the rooms allowed by Gogo Vacations and so he went with another company and they had rooms. I think it has to do with the number of rooms each vacation company is allowed. Tell that to your TA and see if more rooms open up.

These guys better get on the ball! I was going to take the measurement instructions from the weddingtropics website with us when we go to Dillards to get pants and just have the seamstress or someone there measure the guys exactly how the weddingtropics people want - write down the measurements for each guy then order the shirts. What are your wedding colors Danielle? I am not sure what to do. My dress is ivory. Should FI wear an ivory shirt with ivory embroidery natural linen pants or white linen pants? OR should he wear white linen pants, white linen shirt with ivory embroidery? I have just seen so many group photos (look at the weddingtropics website) where you really can't tell the groom apart from the rest of the group. Since my MOH's dress is a seafoam green, I am going to match the best man's shirt with her dress, and our other two BM's dresses are teal. Same style as MOH, just teal. We are going with white linen shirts and teal embroidery for the Groomsmen. My FG dress is white. My RB - I haven't decided what he is going to wear. I better decide quick!

Hi Ladies! I have been quiet lately too - just busy at home and still dealing with sister drama. Got invites ordered yesterday - they already called me today and wanted me to change the wording on my RSVP's because it didn't fit UGH!! I need to take some pics and show you what I got so far - my guestbook and pen came in. My BM's jewlery came in today too. As far as what to wear under that dress - anything that sucks in my fat! HAHA! I am top heavy, so I am wearing a minimizing and uplifting bra for the girls. I'm with you Danielle, I need to get the Groomsmen measured. Are you going through Fridayshirts.com to get your GM's shirts made? I think that's who we are going through. FI found some nice flip flops on Overstock.com for the guys to wear. They were Tevas and were pretty nice - I am SO thankful he has good taste! lol! My friend said my OOT bags were all embroidered and I am going to meet her Friday to pick them up. I was doing the Sacred Heart Diet - and after 4 days I was SO over the soup! I tried it though! I'm just trying to watch what I eat.

That's a good idea Helen ( to have dinner on the lower level) - we planned on having it upstairs! I thought dinner reservations started at 6:45.

How exciting! The starfish theme is great! I don't have any starfish in my wedding decor, but am giving my BM's starfish necklaces as gifts with a card that says the symbolism of the starfish.

OMG Alyssa, I was thinking about you too yesterday! It sounds like you guys had a memorable and wonderful time! How fun and exciting! Sort of sets the bar for the wedding date doesn't it?
