LIMO from the airport?
Celina replied to Tracy's topic in Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Cancun & surrounding areas
We aren't doing this, but just an idea to keep in mind in case you can't find anything in Mexico. I hired a limo to take us from our house to the airport when we leave and from the airport back home for our return. I figured if we got married here we would have hired limos so why not do it just to start our trip off in a limo! -
I was going to say did you check your car? In drawers or under some files? Check by your printer too. OMG I am SO Pissed for you!!

Does anyone know of a good appetite supressant?

You may want to see your doctor and go through some of the same stuff I did. Apparently, I'm "insulin resistant" as well as hypoglycemic. I'm trying not to eat ANY flour products as well as potatoes. He told me to eat only 15mg of protein per meal. Essentially, a lot of fruits and veggies. I've been pretty successful all week and I hope to continue down the right path. Yeah - we went through this already. She said I was fine. (Isn't that bad when you find out your fine, but at the same time are disappointed that nothing is wrong with you)?? I have been pretty good about cutting the carbs. You can do it Rachel - you are right it is a lifestyle change! I've been doing that lately too. I work for the Fire Department at DEN. I am the Executive Assistant to the Airports Fire Chief. If you are ever in town let me know. I think I need to read more about glycemic indexes. Rachel mentioned it too. I definitely could do some reducing in the midsection for sure!!! Quote: Originally Posted by LC_Rachel Thanks Abbie. Niecy Nash from Clean House...where flowers from?
Celina replied to lucy106's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
I am totally going to copy her style in matching flowers with outfits for the wedding/honeymoon. I ordered 25 alligator clips the other day so I can get started! I have to make 6 flowers for the wedding party hair-do's - and the rest are all mine!!!! MMMmuuuuuuaaahhahhaaaahaaah! My hair has FINALLY grown past my shoulders so when we go out to dinner in the evening, I am going to use some product to tame the frizz and wear it loose and wavy/curly with a cute little flower tucked behind my ear. FI loves it when I wear my hair down and curly - and since it IS our honeymoon..... -
Does anyone know of a good over the counter appetite supressant? I swear - I could eat all day! I dont' know what is wrong with me. I am hungry all the time! I don't know if it is my nerves, PMS or what! But I need some serious help before I have my jaw wired shut!!

But we already eat really healthy anyway that we weren't losing as much as you guys. So we have the soup we're just gonna add stuff to it to finish it off. I have low iron too.. I wonder if that' s why I got sick on it. Hmmm?? FI is going to do it he said - I'm like - whatever! He loves soup so he'll probably do well. I think my downfall was that although I LOVE vegetables, I don't like soup and I don't like leftovers (eating the same thing at more than two mealtimes grosses me out). Maybe that was my problem.

Invited to shower but not wedding...

Also, is it ok to have a shower and invite people not invited to the wedding? First, I personally don't think it's appropriate to invite people to your wedding shower if they aren't invited to the wedding. Whoever is doing the inviting should know better. It sounds like they are asking for gifts. I would do something at work for her if you and your co workers feel inclined to do so. Sorry if I'm not any help! -
Questions about site visits....
Celina replied to candiekiss's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Yep - I'd do what Phoebe said. Plan your trip - Narrow your list down to two or three places you want to see. Take a good look at their wedding packages and see if there are any out of pocket expenses, (do they provide a cake, flowers etc.). Consider any othe places you MAY need to get anything from, (beauty salons, grocery stores, vases,) check out those places as well. Maybe try an excursion on a tour company if you are considering doing that during your wedding with your wedding guests. If you are booking a local band or DJ try to see where they are playing while you are there and go check them out. Check out some recommended restaurants too for rehearsal dinner, welcome dinner, etc. Just try to get as much info as you can during your trip. Pay attention to taxi fares and the distance to shopping - things like that. It seems like a lot, but in the end you'll have a lot of your questions answered and it will give you a HUGE piece of mind! Congrats and good luck! -
I would contact the wedding coordinator first. I'm not sure how the RIU is in Cabo, but for the RIU in Puerto Vallarta, I held on to the confirmation from the RIU for quite some time before giving them all the info and a credit card. I did have to fill out the info eventually, but we didn't do it until 6 months after recieving the initial e-mail from RIU. E-mail the WC and ask her what to do just to be on the safe side. My assumptions are that they are very busy and need a commitment (i.e. credit card) or they will give the date to someone else. Right now they have our credit card info and we have not been charged. We were told they will charge us if we cancel 30 days out, but that once we get there we can change our form of payment if we wanted to. Good luck!

Oh Lauren - both you and Dez were drinkin' up this weekend! Chicken, veggies and garlic sauce sounds SO good! Maybe that's what I'll have for dinner! Sound yummy!

Help me pick my dress...
Celina replied to maui_dec_08's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I cant decide between 1 and 3. 3 has that flowy beach feel which looks beautiful. you also have the body to carry off the criss-cross back. I also like the bling of dress 1 I'm probably not much help am I?? Sorry! -
We were at odds over which resort to go with and in the end chose the hotel with the best wedding package and the best price for everyone. You will find that no matter how much notice or time you give people so they can save their money and go - there will be those that still don't make it.

It can't look any worse than mine. I blew mine out the other day with the diffuser on it and my hair kept growing and growing...I was looking like a 1980's rocker chick! I was trying to leave it semi curly for the day - but I ended up straightening it. I was laughing at myself. I love me some big hair, but it was totally out of control!! LOL!!

Oh and be careful with the white pants, some of them are really see through. That could make your wedding very interesting. lol If there's a K&G near anyone they had really nice linen pants on sale for $14.99, only thing is they were all very long like 36 inch lengths so we had to get them altered but that's not too much more to get done at K&G. they didn't have that many left. HA - that is funny about the pants - yeah, he has some white linen pants which fit him oh so nicely! I bought them last year at Macys. I am going to have to go to a K&G and check it out. I have been meaning to go for quite some time and none of them are located by us. I just ordered my thank you cards from Vista Print for my BM gifts. I also ordered 25 alligator clips from Minordetails.com so I can get started on hair flowers. I think my signature look for the trip will be the flower tucked behind my ear. My hair is getting so long, so it will look loose and curly and very romantical! I have looked at every Michaels and Hobby Lobby and can't find those stupid clips anywhere! FI said I should go to a "Smoke Shop" to see if they sell them there since they are referred to as "Roach Clips". I told you guys he embarrased the heck out of me by saying in a VERY loud voice at Michaels, "Oh you need to buy roach clips"? "You should have said that earlier, I didn't know what you were talking about". I could have crawled under a shelf and died! Of course people were looking at us, and I responded "I'm not going to smoke a doobie - I am making a flower clip for my hair". He just laughed and walked away. LOLOL!!

How is your budget??
Celina replied to NewOrleansbride's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
I am not even sure we have a budget! Like everyone else, our largest expense was the trip itself - we are staying at an AI for 10 days with our 2 kids (Who we paid full fare seats for). Like we do in the rest of our life outside of wedding plans, FI picks up the big ticket purchases and I handle the details. It probably comes out to be the same $ amount, I just buy a little at a time. All I heard last week was, "for someone who is so broke, you sure have a lot of packages coming every day". I just laughted and said "Yeah, but when you look back at your wedding day and see that it was the most beautiful day of your life, you'll thank me". I have really cut a lot of corners and still got what I wanted. I haven't bought much that wasn't on sale. I've been planning since last year. The only big expense that I'm not backing down on is the cost of mariachi's for 45 minutes which is $600. I am a planner by nature and planning so far in advance has really helped to catch some great sales! -
I think any of them would be good. I've never seen a guy/girl topper like that - very cute - but kind of plain. I like the square too.
