I've got tylenol, bandaids, neosporin, tums, chaser, sewing kit and gum. I am using soap holders to put them in for the people who aren't staying at the AI, and I have small tupperware bowls (Think 4 pack at Dollar store) for those staying at AI - that way they can use them again for fruit or something small to snack on at the beach.

Sounds like fun! I love the white hats...too slick!

Abbie - HOW WONDERFUL!!! I can't wait to see the TTD pics! Sounds like a kick ass trip! I am so happy for you! I noticed the handrails at the RIU Vallarta as well (or lack thereof) Maybe that is something the hotels need to definitely look into. I am so sorry she fell! -

No Steph, I don't think she's jealous. She has 3 kids ages 1, 3 and 6. Her husband works ALL the time and is never home so she just stays home with the kids and has her hands full with them. Even when she comes over, the kids are always right there - and they are VERY loud. I have two kids but they are never that loud. I think she is overwhelmed with her life and doing it all. She totally needs a break. When I was helping her move, I noticed her and her husband both talk VERY loud to eachother. I kept thinking, why are they shouting? I don't know, I am just disappointed in her lack of involvement. She was supposed to call the other BM's to tell them about the assembly day - and nope - she never called them. Whatever...I am just going to sit back and see how long it takes her to call me and when she asks why I haven't called I am going to tell her that lately when I talk to her she seems distracted and doesn't seem that interested in scheduling things or making plans, so I figured I would just stay away until she she was ready and that if something really important needed to get done, that I would just do it myself since she seems so preoccupied with everything else. Sorry for the rant.

The way we handled our debit card disputes was that you would fill out a form for each charge you were disputing (hi-lighting your bank statement makes this much easier). I would then take the forms from you and give it to our back offices. You would have all of the money deposited back in your account within 24 hours. The bank then researches the disputes with Visa to make sure they are legitimate. If it turns out you were lying, the bank would then take the money they deposited into your account back. If it was legitimate, the money remains in your account and the bank gets reimbursed from Visa. I hope that makes sense. I think I only saw one person have the money taken back out of their account in the 2 1/2 years I worked there, so no worries. Oh, and we were a small bank, so I'd be shocked if most banks do not use these procedures. Good luck! This is so reassuring to know - I hope it all works out. What freakin cowards to not even return calls! That is BS! How do they sleep at night knowing they are ripping people off !!!

Okay E - this is my take... I think that FI should tell him that he needs to know if he's going or not. Tell him if he is going he has by _________ day to get his deposit in because the entire amount has to be paid off by ____________day. He should also tell bro that if he ISN'T going that he needs to let him know as well and that there won't be any hard feelings, just that he needs to know and he still wants him involved somehow. If he says he is going and you still feel leery, have FI talk to one of his groomsmen and tell them the deal with his bro and ask one of the other groomsmen if they would mind stepping up as the best man if his bro doesn't show. If you are worried about having too many girls and not enough guys, just have one guy walk down with two girls on his arm.

Thanks for posting! I need to get some stuff to finish off my corsages. I think I'll go tonight!! -
That's right....they snooze....they lose! Well, I realized on Friday that my MOH is overextended. I spent the day with her and we did talk wedding, and marked some days on the calendar, but after going through it with her, I realized she over extends herself among her friends. I JUST found out that she is the MOH in another wedding in 3 weeks. For being a MOH in the other wedding, she didn't seem too involved, which makes me realize how she hasn't been too involved in my planning either. I send her stuff and she doesn't say anything. I am trying not to take it personal and have even resolved to not call her unless she calls me. When I call her lately she has been kind of weird - so I'll give her some space. We were trying to get a date together for the "assembly party", but one of the BM's can't come the week I wanted. I guess I am going to just sit down over the next couple of weekends and get our invites out myself. We may have to do the assembling of everything else in September. Everyone's calendars are filled for August. Yesterday I ordered the envelopes for the "tears of joy" packets. I also ordered some cute straws to include with my cups.

Celina replied to MoonPalacePookie's topic in Destination Wedding Planning Journal
Wow - you did an amazing job with everything! You look stunning in that dress! I love the shell on the sand ceremony jar. That cake is goregous! I can't wait to see how yours turns out! The photo albums for the BM's are so cute - where did you get those? I love the caricature idea and the mini pinatas are adorable! GREAT JOB! Thanks so much for sharing! I also love your colors! Congrats! It's almost time! -
I recieved two of these charms as a gift from StephanieMN (Thanks again Stephanie!) and I am going to sew the charm to my FI's hankie in memory of his dad. She used a photo charm bracelet and just took it apart. She filed down the little "nubs" so there were no rough edges. I haven't gotten a pic yet - but am working on it.
