Tara - your make up looks pretty! I don't like the under eye liner - you have beautiful eyes! Speaking of Makeup - Steph, your makeup looked good at your Bach Party! The pics are great! Speaking of Cameras - Sam's club on line has wedding cameras 5 for $15 dollars. (or so...the last time I checked they were VERY reasonable) I didn't tell everyone on BDW because when I go to buy them they will be out of stock for the next year! LOL! Danielle - the menu stuff just made me hungry!! AND sentimental about being back in PV. We ate at Fajita Republic when we were there last year. OMG - it was SO yummy! Erica - your mom's friend is a saint! What a wonderful shower theme! I am so jealous!! What is the difference in the LM and BE makeup?
-
OH YAY!! Sounds like fun and who doesn't love mexican food and margs!! The performer in the pic looks like the girl on Americas Next Top Model (Yes...I watched that show). ...I think her name was Tocara? How fun Steph - glad you had a good time!

I hate heavy makeup and i heard it's really light. anyone use it? And then i'm going to go to sephora for a makeup trial too for wedding day makeup. FSIL, talked me into trying my dress on when we were there. I haven't had it on since I bought it almost 8 months ago. It was weird having it on, I felt like i was getting second thoughts. Has anyone else experienced this? . YES - tell us how BE makeup works. I am going to the Mac counter in Oct to get anything that will keep my makeup on in the humidity! But after that I only want something for the evenings when we go to dinner so my face isn't so shiny. Right now I use tinted moisturizer from Proactiv and the other day my dad said my face looked grey - I'm thinking because it has sunscreen in it. Remember Danielle - I was having second thoughts on my dress too after I put it on? You'll be fine. Once everything is in place it will be fine. Are you wearing a veil? Do you have your jewlery yet? The thing is - DO NOT look at any other dresses or you FOR SURE will go crazy! Quote: Originally Posted by DanielleNDerek I can't wait to see Celina's stuff too. How the assembly party go? Well...you guys are going to kill me...I FORGOT MY CAMERA this morning!!! I only took a couple of pics because something is still wrong with the camera in that it is draining batteries fast! We got a lot done. It would have been better if people wouldn't have brought their kids - but oh well! It was just so loud in my house. They kept calling me a sweatshop owner! LOL! Then every once in a while Shawn would interject something on behalf of the girls and he started referring to himself as their Union Rep. LOL!!! It was hillarious! We had a good time. All of the food was gone! We had caesar salad, bread (I only ate half a piece) grilled chicken and I made some penne pasta with alfredo sauce (for the kids), and iced tea and carrot cake. No one ate the cake - except for the kids. We got all of the invites done, wedding programs almost done - (I ran out of tape), most of the tye tags and our flip flops. It was a paper cutting marathon. We started at about 10:30 and finished up around 3pm. It was a long and productive day. I learned a couple of things about my friends...my BF (MOH) has no craftiness in her at all...my other close friend (BM) has great handwriting....my cousin in law (BM) is very assertive and organized like me and I am so glad she was there because she kept things in line! My Step mom CAN NOT cut a circle to save her life! My older sister has lost total control of her kids. LOL!!! In the end we got a lot done and while there is more to do, the bulk of it is done! I got an e-mail this morning from my FMIL and she sent me the menu from the restaurant for our Rehearsal Dinner. Now we get to pick stuff off the menu and get going on that project now.

I need a prescription for Phentermine to help me out. So she gave me a month's prescription and told me to take half a pill 5 times a week (so the prescription will last 2 months). I have to check back with her in a month or so to get a refill and have my blood pressure checked. She said that the meds can cause heart valve problems in extremely overweight people. I have taken it before but after a couple of months it loses it's effectiveness. It DOES work. It curbs your appetite and gives you energy. I am on day 3 and am eating two light meals a day and nothing but water and iced tea to drink. Quote: Originally Posted by ethrondson How was everyone's weekends? Did you get everything done with your bridal party there? Danielle - Did you ever put the ribbon on the fans? I started some of them. Actually I got just over half of them done and now I have to go and get more ribbon! How did the BM dresses fit? Awww...were you guys sad to put your ring away? When I put mine in the box from wearing it home from the store I was sad and excited at the same time. We didnt' make it to see the band. We got caught in a flash flood! OMG - it was terrible! The streets were flooded to the door of the bar! In the end we ended up driving back across town closer to home with my BF, her DH and BIL and the guys played pool and we drank and chatted. It was nice to go out without kids! Quote: Originally Posted by tvt Erica, I'm glad to hear you legal day went well! Can't wait to see pictures!!! OMG Tara, I wa thinking about a bra this morning and SPANX!! Glad you got stuff off your list!

YOWZA!! I am just so pumped that my ticker is at an even 3 months today! GOD - I need a cocktail! I have had such an emotional day today! I am not going to let anything get to me though. My ex-sister's hubby and I argued for 45 minutes this morning and it totally drained me. All our arguement proved was that he is the pansy, manipulated, door mat that I knew he was. Ha - he is such a loser - just like his wife. Erica - have an AWESOME day today! I am SO excited for you and I hope that it is a nice sunny (but not too hot) day so you can wear that cute, cute dress! I got some prescription drugs from my doctor yesterday to help with Operation Hottie! Woo hoo! Our camera is up and running so I will have LOTS of pics on Monday! All of my bridal party is coming over tomorrow and I am SO excited! We're having Chicken Ceasar salad and iced tea. We have SO much to do! Have a good weekend all! I probably won't log on till Monday because I have tons to get done here and I have to leave early to go to the Post Office to get stamps for my invites. Tonight FI and I are supposed to go listen to this band that some of the guys here at work are in. I totally need to get out. Like I said....I need a drink! Love ya! Celina

No Dez, you aren't a weird freak of nature! he he! I think it's great that you guys are so open. We are the same way with our guests as well. I had two people from work who were going to PV anyway so I was like hey we are getting married in November....and before you knew it, they were booked and are going! I think it's way cool! I think it's good if they are all the same type of people. You know? You can't have Suzie Q the floozie who is a man chaser mixed in with a bunch of couples...it might be kind of awkward.

I agree with you all! I have been on this site since last October and have gotten so many great ideas! Besides wedding stuff - the women and few men are always so supportive!

AHR - How do I keep drinks cold?
Celina replied to RyanAmanda's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
I am having the same problem. We are having a brunch so we are doing the 2 gallon dispensers and/or fancy jars with spouts to serve lemonade, iced tea, orange juice and apple juice and we will have bottled water (with our names on the labels) and coffee. -
OOOohhh Michelle - I LOVE getting stuff! YAY for your lamps! Amy - How sweet - a gift to the spa! Sounds like a great time. Danielle - when you mentioned your ring - how are they fixing your ring? I went last night and picked up my wedding band and they were out of ring boxes (WTF??..I know) - she gave me a pouch and I didn't feel secure with it so I wore it out of the store. Then we went to Hobby Lobby and I noticed that it kept swirling around on my finger. I am going to have to take it back and have them attached or something so the band doesn't swirl. It has diamonds along the front side and is gold in the back (I hope that makes sense) SO - the kids and I went to Hobby Lobby and I found a glass bottle for our sand ceremony. It was $4.99 and was 50% off! It was the only one there so I think it was meant for me! They had sand too for $2 a container. I am sure I'll have some left over so if you guys want any I'll give it to you. We got teal, white and brown. We are going to use some of the sand from the beach in PV so we have our 4 colors for the 4 of us. YAY - Sand ceremony ensemble - total cost $11.00!

When I asked where his was awhile later so I could put them away, he still had it on and wanted to wear it to "get used to it". LMAO. For someone that always said he wouldn't be wearing very often anyway (because of his job) he sure didn't want to take it off his finger lastnight! I did end up getting it and put them both away for safe keeping now. AAwwww! That is too sweet! Quote: Originally Posted by lucy106 Celina, you better get that camera fixed missy!! We want pics!!! He totally wants to kick me out of the room! LOL! He said he paid for a suite - he is staying there! I hope they find his ass a room - cause I have myself and the kids to get ready! I told him to stay with his mom at her timeshare. I am going to come up with a plan this weekend. I'll call it "Operation Sleeping Single in a King Size Bed"! LOL!

Cute!! I LOVE them! I don't know if they have them here - but they are cute! -
I know there are a lot of us the first week of November! We'll be here for you Erica! Whatever you need! I am going after work to pick up my wedding band. I had to get it sized for my ginormous finger! I am also going to drop off my camera today and see if it can be fixed. I need to post some pictures!! PLUS - I really want to take some pics this weekend of me and my BM's assembling all of our wedding stuff. I also called a DJ that my family has used for parties, weddings, etc. to see if he can help us with our music playlist. We only have 30 songs - I figure each song is 3 minutes long that gives us an hour and a half of music. I still need an hour and a half more! Hopefully he can help. I need to have some music to get my groove on!

BEAUTIFUL beading!! I love the extra bling!! Your Legal Day dress is cute!! Don't you love it when you can wear it for something else? I am going to call my doctor and see if she can prescribe me something to help with Operation Hottie! I AM NOT A SPRING CHICKEN ANYMORE!!!

These are aunts and uncles that were not even going to be invited to the wedding! We had the same thing happen to us. FMIL has a time share and invited her entire familly to stay with her and her husband. I understand having a timeshare and wanting to save money - BUT - DON"T BE INVITIN EVERYONE ELSE TO STAY WITH YOU!!! Our hotel has a rule that 80% of the wedding guests MUST stay at the hotel. I posted on our website that we spent a lot of time researching the hotels to get everyone the best rate, the best ameneties and the hotel that had the best wedding package. (Because after all it is our wedding right?!!) It got to the point where we told FMIL that she was eating into our 20% of guests who could stay elsewhere - so please don't invite anyone else! After the wedding yes - the night of the wedding - NO!! Anyhow, in the end we have 8 guests staying at a timeshare - fortunately - two of them are my aunts and they are paying for their own day passes (BLESS THEM!!) The other six we have to foot the bill for! Our resort charges $60 for half day and $100 for full day passes. Quote: Originally Posted by Jenn6603 I guess the way I look at it is that we did a lot of research to pick a resort and we also negotiated an excellent price - I did a ton of work so having guests just go do their own thing wasn't really an option for me... Jenn MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY! You may want to keep an eye on rates and see if it is cheaper to book a room for a double or triple occupancy versus buying day passes. That's what we are doing and I'm even going to check with the hotel directly the day of the wedding to see if we can get a cheap room rate. Even if no one actually stays in the room - it may be cheaper to book a room for 3 or 4 guests instead of purchasing the day passes. With luck the hotel may just want to sell the room and will give us a good rate. Either way we'll have the money for the passes just in case.

PRETTY! You look amazing! -
Cute thread Alyssa! We arent' big collectors, but we do buy an ornament for each year to symbolize something big that happened in the year. I used to collect Marilyn Monroe stuff when I was younger.
