  1. Awesome. I'd love to attend some webinars from Dreams Riviera Maya, Hard Rock, and Paradisus La Esmeralda to name a few!
  2. I agree that it was a grata idea and I would love to see it. One of my friends booked a premier catering hall at 50% off for her wedding off of a groupon like website!
  3. Maybe just do an early RSVP and put that date on the STD or send STDs and verbally follow up once you think it's been received to see if guests are seriously considering coming? I think my FI and I are going to do the latter.
  4. I was thinking of getting beach themed word art created with our last name and having guests sign around it like it the picture below: http://www.weddingchicks.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/uniqueguestbookideas1.jpg
  5. This idea is AWESOME! Has anyone tried it with 100 or more guests? Just wondering if it might get too hectic?
  6. I definitely want to use a TA but my FI doesn't see the value. The value to me is peace of mind with not having to deal with guest booking issues. We are inviting 150 plus people to our wedding. i would go crazy coordinating travel for them all!

I will look into this for sure b/c we are anticipating a large group.
  8. @girlinthecity97 I look forward to seeing both of our progress reported here on BDW! Are you planning a scouting trip?
  9. You are correct, it is Dreams Cancun not Riviera Cancun. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for refreshing my memory
  10. Thanks for the info ladies! I can always count on BDW for honest, candid advice! I was totally second guessing the parental gifts since ours aren't contributing financially either. We are still early in the planning stages, so I guess I'll see how much they help out before coming to a final decision. Nice to know it's not obligatory though!
  11. Great idea @Sehausle ! Thanks for sharing
  12. Purple and green actually sound really nice! When I first imagined it I thought on no poor @krisdaversa but I googled it and saw some reallllly pretty images! Our colors are light pink and tan. Beachy and romantic!
  13. Thanks for the info ladies! We are looking to do a honeymoon registry for our dream honeymoon to Africa. This thread was very helpful
  14. Thanks for the tips ladies. We also feel awkward registering for a DW, but we will be moving cross country a few months after the wedding so we will need all new stuff. Perhaps we'll do a registry at Bed Bath and/or Macy's and a honeymoon registry just in case anyone asks but not post it anywhere.
