  1. These are great ideas! I am going to have to look for clear weights for my veil!!!
  2. We are renting my ladies dresses from http://littleborroweddress.com/ I am really excited about them!!! And the girls love that they don't have another bridesmaids dress in the closet!!
  3. I've been trying to figure this out too. But I was told that with our hotel it was better to deliver them ourselves. I have lots of younger siblings who are going to deliver them for us.
  4. Ok, so I'm not paying attention, sorry for any confusion, but Congratulations Lindsay!!!!!
  5. Those are great! I like the second tier of border. I am about to start working on my pocket invites so I keep checking here for tips and inspiration!!

  7. I am at work, but trying to get to 150 so I'll play too!! :-)
  8. We sent out Save the Dates in February, we are desperately trying to get our invitations out by July 1 and then we will request RSVPs in September (2 months before our November wedding). I have been warned by friends who previously had destination weddings that many people don't RSVP and that I will probably have to follow up, but I'm hoping they will surprise me. :-)
  9. I made my final decision!! I bought these beautiful Jimmy Choo's!!! I won't be wearing them on the beach, but will wear them for the reception!!
  10. Hi Lindsay R, I was going to ask you about maps and I realized that today is your wedding day!!!! Congratulations!! I would like to see if you would email your maps to me because I can't access the ones that you uploaded. If you have time when you get back please let me know, but I hope your day is fabulous (as I'm sure it is!!!)!!!!
  11. Your invitations are beautiful!! I wanted to see if you happen to know and would be willing to share what fonts were used. Thank you!!
  12. Congratulations and Thank You K3Nelson for the fabulous review!! It is so nice to be reminded that all of this planning will turn out fabulously! You said that you planned a bonfire, I was wondering what time you (or other past brides) started it. I am working on schedule and invitation wording. Also, for any other brides that were able to go through with the bonfire, what the light from the fire enough or did you need additional lighting? Thanks!!!
  13. Congratulations K3nelson!! You are soo close!!! I'm sure it's going to be beautiful!!! 1. Have you looked at this post? http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/16710/post-your-ceremony-program 2. I haven't had my wedding yet, but I've done extensive research in this department and here is the advice I was given. Try to be among the first to board the plane. When the call "those with children or who will need extra time" line up. You will need extra time :-) Then once on board you can very sweetly ask the flight attendants to put your dress in the closet at the front of the plane (given it is a big enough plane that they have a closet) if they can't or won't then put it in the overhead compartment above your seats and close it. Most people won't open the compartment if it's closed and if someone does, just explain that it is your wedding dress and it is very important that it not be mushed or wrinkled. My friend just had her destination wedding with a rather poofy dress and she said she had no problem with asking the flight attendants and they were more than happy to oblige. Most people will be so excited for you and won't give you a hard time. I have one friend who said she spread her dress out over 4 seats in the waiting area before they boarded and people didn't give her a hard time, so I'm sure on the plane they won't. Best Wishes!!! And please let us know how it all goes and any advice after you get back!!!!
  14. Hi tigerkels! What day in November?! We are the 23rd!! Some days I feel like planning is moving along well and some days I feel like it is totally stalled out. I'm a bit type A, so I have a hugely detailed spreadsheet that I have been using to try to keep myself on track. Right now, I am trying to get our website up and functional so that I can send out our save-the-dates. I've really just been trying to break down my decision making and get things done. This forum has been amazing for all sorts of details. Feel free to send a PM to me if you want to chat and compare notes!! FYI, we were able to get a 5% discount with American Airlines for all of our guests! It's not a huge amount, but it's something! You just need more than 10 people traveling to the same airport destination. They can be traveling from different locations. I filled out a form online and then 2 days later they sent me a code! Super easy and I think that our guests will appreciate any help we can offer them with travel. So speaking of help, did anyone not have centerpieces? Did the tables look bare? I'm not super attached to flowers and am trying not to spend a fortune, but I know I need something to mark table numbers. Ideas? Thoughts? Is this something that I would regret?
  15. I think I am going to do matching PJ's for all my girlfriends who are coming and getting dressed with me and then earrings for my bridesmaids.
  16. This is good to think about ahead of time! Everything I see on the internet is different, so I think I am just going with my gut and see how everything works out, but I'll be prepared to tip.
  17. I love all of your options, but I just want to throw this out there. One of my friends had the 2nd choice as her wedding shoes and ended up with terrible blisters. I don't believe she did much "breaking them in" before the wedding so the blisters may be more related to that, but just wanted to share the experience. Make sure you have time to break them in :-) All are gorgeous!! And I LOVE your dress!!!!
