  1. I'm still super torn on centerpieces! I want as little as possible to carry with me, but I have to have a table number. I was thinking a vellum wrapped around an electric candle may be a great option for table numbers because then it will still fold flat.
  2. Does anyone who has done this have pictures? I would love to see what it looks like. I have a pretty simple veil so I'm not sure what it would look like if I add weights.
  3. I wanted to throw it out there, I bought my DIY invitation stuff from LCI Paper and they have been awesome and VERY reasonably priced!! Keep them in mind if you are in the market for paper stuff :-)
  4. I need to make some more postings. I can't imagine what I would have done if the flight schedule changed! Our flight that we already booked has been changed and I'm having a fit over that!!
  5. MY question is how are you planning ahead to make purchases? I would love to make purchases ahead to spread out some of the cost, but I'm concerned about the quantity to buy.
  6. I'm glad she responded. I was going to tell you that the same thing happened to me. I sent money via wire and then didn't get confirmation that they received the money for two weeks!! I was pretty frustrated at the beginning of my planning with the lack of response, but I learned that a) most everything can be taken care of closer to the wedding and she responds better if you only ask one question at a time. It fights every type A bone in my body to wait to plan these things, but I have been planning as much on my side and leaving the rest for once the wedding is closer. Hang in there!! As long as you have the wedding and reception locations set then she can make changes to anything else!
  7. Thank you Elissae!! I was soooo excited to find them!!! I looked and looked for a wedge that was fun and comfortable. I am still working on breaking these in. I wear them at night around my house! HA!
  8. Realized that I didn't reply on your thread, but yeah $4 per bag!! And everything that I've read is that is the one thing that they are not reliable about at all. I can't remember which board it was, but someone said that they paid and they didn't distribute anything. So I am planning to have my younger siblings distribute mine.
  9. My FI races cars so I am getting him a Go Pro so that he can mount it to his car and film his laps. It will also be great for diving while we are at the wedding a possibly on our honeymoon (depending on where we decide). It takes still pictures and videos and is waterproof.

  11. The front desk is a great idea!! Make sure they won't charge you to hand anything to guests. Mine wants to charge me to hand out anything.
  12. I figure I can ask y'all. Any opinions on a Welcome Bonfire timing? I am leaving toward having it later on the Friday before the wedding (like 7:30 or 8) b/c if I have it at 5 like I have originally scheduled then there is that awkward ending time when my FI and I are like well we are headed to dinner and people may want to join and I'm not sure the resort can accommodate, blah blah. Then if we have it later then everyone can come after dinner and just have cocktails and maybe something sweet! Thoughts?
  13. Hummm I hadn't thought about it that way. I set up a program online that if people "hashtagged" on instagram then their pictures automatically uploaded to my email and I was super excited about it, but I get the point of ruining your professional photos. We are in Mexico, but I am guessing a lot of people will be able to use the hotel wireless to upload photos. I guess I'm going to have to think about this.
  14. Hi lorcas! Did Cecilia send you the packet and you are just looking for additional pictures? There are a lot of fabulous ladies on this forum who have posted pics of their weddings after. I know that there re a lot of pages, but you can look back through this thread and see a lot of options. If you need the packet let me know and I can email it to you (I'm not sure b/c it's so big that it would post on here).
  15. Thank you so much Lola TX! 8 to 10 does sound like great timing. We were debating doing it at 5, but then I feel like that is kind of awkward after. Okay, have drinks & appetizers, now everyone go have dinner on your own. I don't know. So later in the evening might be a better idea. I am trying to include timing in my invitation suite so that people know when to arrive by. Just cocktails by the fire would lower the cost too!! Great to know that the lighting is included!
  16. On question about your envelope liner, do you feel like the paper cutter was the best way & saved you some time or do you think that you could have done it with scissors? Thank you!! Love your invitation suite!!
