Gorg Gorg Gorg, my FAV silhouette! My dress has ruffles TOO!!!! -
FI has his first Pina Colada (w/o alcohol unfortunately) from freshly squeezed the other day and now he can't wait to have a few pina coladas when we're down south!!!!! Perhaps we'll get a pitcher and get pumping our our OOTs!!! I know it has been discussed a million times but how is everyone giving out their oots? Welcome Dinner/Drinks? Individual Room Deliveries? Have them delivered by the resort staff? (this makes me nervous..... theres good stuff in there!) I really want to do that FI and I go to everyones rooms to drop off their OOTs to give them that One on One quick minute, thank them for coming etc. but when would everyone be in their rooms?! Do we carry 40 OOT bags around with us or go with 1 bag at a time going back to our room every time! I just don't know how to make this work!!!!!! I am feeling so dumb lately, it seems like I am over thinking EVERY detail!!!

Post your centerpieces here
torilynnsmith replied to bethtamar's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Alright here is what we have decided for our centrepieces. I really wanted something simple for my WC to set up (so nothing goes wrong lol) but I also wanted height. We will be having 1 long table and so I wanted them to take up minimal space while giving great height to the setting. I am undecided as to whether we will use these at the reception too (2 separate locations) should we move them when we move after dinner or should I do something different over there?! Anyways here they are. I would appreciate feedback on a few things. 1 in these photos is done with shells and 1 with stones. I love the stone look but I don't think it is Beachy enough or light enough. If I did the shells I think I would do sand and just a few shells on the top instead of all shells. Anyways would love the opinions from all you wonderful ladies!!! (sorry it's sideways... I don't know why, it is up and down on my computer.....) -

OMG I am kind of in love with this!!!!!!! I need to get off these forums, I am constantly changing my mind with all the new ideas!!! I watched Four Weddings (on TLC) tonight and one girl had a very romantic wedding vibe and something like this would have been soooo PERFECT!!!!!! I just love the look and feel of this and like you said, a great keepsake afterwards!!!! Would you mind sharing a picture of your dress on here? I would love love love to see it since your bouquet is going to be so awesome I can only imagine what your dress looks like!!!! -
Everything is basically DONE!!!! I posted my OOT bag thread awhile ago but then I decided I wanted to add a few things to my Wedding Week Survival Kits so I ended up opening them all (I had already stapled on my bag toppers) much to FIs protest, and added the hair elastics and extra safety pins. I have been taking these evening (I skipped yoga.... not good for the wedding dress but great for the OOTS) to get everything organized as it has been dominating my living room for the last few weeks! I have my Mugs packed in a rubbermaid as well as my Survival kit stuff I haven't put in kits yet in a rubbermaid, everything is in reusable bags and such in my spare room stacked in the corner lol I think I am going to start putting the suitcases together so that I know where I am at and also so I stop looking at it and close the door on my OOTS..... my biggest problem has been this is my FAVOURITE thread and I can't stop coming back to see what everyone is up to!!! I can't loose you ladies!! LOL I can't decide whether to put the bags together and then pack them or pack everything dismantled and put the bags together when we get there. I have tried to make it easy on us so there are not a lot of elements so all the "little stuff" is in the survival kit. Also I don't want to attach my bag tags and them get all bent out of shape so I think I will keep it separate and FI and my parents and sister and I will have to go at them when we first arrive!!!!

Post your bouquet and inspiration pics here
torilynnsmith replied to EDYTA's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
The prices KILL ME!!!!! MY bouquet is included in the wedding packages but I am not sure I can get what I want so I would rather do real touch and be sure. Plus I don't want to carry real and my girls carry real touch and it be a noticeable difference at least if they are all the same then no one will be able to tell. I will get the "real" bouquet from the resort and either use it as the toss bouquet or for some other decor...... I will post a picture of my centrepiece in the centrepiece thread! I will be excited to hear what you think of it!!!! -
Show us your wedding dress!

Do you live in Cayman now?!?! -
Why don't you try darkening your purple. It may not look right on the computer screen but as long as it is printing like you like than you are good to go!!!! I had the same trouble when designing personalized items for my friends bachelorette. It was the opposite though, when it printed it printed MUCH darker!

I am not sure they would let you carry it on because of all the pins that could be considered needles..... I could be totally wrong but with all these new rules it is always better to double check. I can't wait to see pictures!!! -

They have many DJs Dont Worry cdc150! -
I used 20 gauge wire to do my hangers. I actually lucked in and got a spool of 150' for only $1.25 at our dollarstore. I thought I would test it out and then head to the hardware store if it didn't work. In the end it was perfect and working off the spool was great! Just thought I would share as I know a few of you were wondering and I just found the rest of my spool!!!!

sash sharing (freecycle)
torilynnsmith replied to jaynreneewed's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I think FREECYCLE or "sharing" speaks for itself!!!!!! Use the buy and sell boards to post FOR SALE items and lets keep this for brides looking to pass the goodwill and share their sashes!!!!! -
Who paid for your dress
torilynnsmith replied to Lindslou's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
My Mom (or my Parents more like) paid for my dress. I wasn't expecting that but when the time came they were actually the ones PUSHING me to make a decision and get a dress. I was very adamant that we wanted to do this on our own but looking back it was a nice gesture and I really appreciate the help. It is also fun to know when I put my dress on that it is a gift from my parents! That being said, you do give over some "decision making power" when you have someone else paying for the dress. I am in LOVE with my dress but of the 2 I was deciding between I also picked my moms Favourite! It was important to me that she was included and that she liked it!
