  1. I've been having such a hard time finding gifts.. I'm going to check it out!
  2. amazing story, and it is something you will both always remember and smile how things happened.
  3. It works & I don't have an account there
  4. Love that blue dress and its flowly so its prefect for a destination wedding.
  5. We have about 20 of us on the same flight flying out of Boston.. when we booked it was about $550 each in April, now its in the $600s I believe. We booked our flight and hotel seperate in December since flights werent out.
  6. I found this amazing website a couple of weeks ago.. enjoy ladies http://vistaprint-goddess.weebly.com/sample-email.html
  7. Definetly keep waiting.. when she isn't as busy she'll reply to you the same/next day.
  8. My wedding is in November in Punta Cana, the peak of hurricane season is Sept/Oct.
  9. We decided to stay at the Majestic Elegance as our resort and we are having our ceremony & reception off the resort at the Jellyfish Restaurant, couldn't be any more happier with our decision.. definetly look into your options & do your research
  10. you don't "have" to ask anyone to take her place, do whatever you want to do. My wedding party is an odd number but thats what I love about it, its the people that we want in our bridal party.
  11. Do what makes you happy and love.. age is definetly just a number.. and you know you will be so in love on your wedding day that what you are worrying about now, you won't even think about!
  12. Wedding dress is beautiful! the bridesmaid dresses for my wedding (all the BM decided on it together) we got at a small bridal boutique came out to $150 including alterations.. I see that the dress is $128 without alterations or having the confidence that it will fit them.
  13. I think as brides we go through times of wedding planning, now I have about 3 1/2 months left til the wedding and I'm really in bride mode but its for all the details now.. I got everything out of the way in the beginning (resort, TA, dress, photographer, videographer, bm dresses, grommsmen attire, rings engraved, etc) so now its just the small (time consuming) details.. you'll get your mojo back
  14. If this is your dream wedding, do it.. whoever can afford to travel will go. You can't stress over who is going and who isn't going if this is the type of wedding you want to do. Do your research (different months are cheaper to get married vs. peak months, etc). I think the $800 pp is pushing it in a way for the total with flight.. flights always change.. but if you get a price like that for your guests then thats amazing! hope everything comes together soon for you, the beginning is the most stressful since you're trying to plan a wedding for you, but also a vacation for your guests.
  15. I bought mine from T&J Prints from etsy.. it came with the poster, ink stamps & a note card to "leaf your print". Its nothing extravagent but its exactly what I want since we will be framing it to hang up in our house and I think thats when it will look awesome in the frame. It came in a tube so I plan on bringing it how it was delivered and then when we're at home we'll frame it.
  16. I think i would put save the date (your acutal wedding) & put formal invitation to follow & your wedding website.. and on your wedding website put both the dates and explain everything.
  17. Just wanted to let you ladies in the U.S. know that you can email the Dominican Tourism Board in NY to mail you DR brochures for free, I'm going to mail them along with luggage tags about a month before our wedding. I emailed them about 3 days ago and the very next day they arrived priorty mail 8 lbs worth.. 20 brochures and I didn't pay a thing. The email is: [email protected]
  18. Matt, whats your advice about shoes? my fiance (along with myself) is all about sandals with their suites (3 piece khaki "linen look" suite) but I've already had someone make a comment how the suite would be too fancy for the sandals/flip flops and to go with boat shoes.
  19. Love this look! I agree about the convertible dresses, if you get them all in the same color the girls can wear them different ways and then you can add the ribbon how you like.
  20. I stocked up on white flip flops for our wedding party when Old Navy had their $1, couldn't beat the price.
  21. Both look amazing!! Dress A leaves an impression.. that train in the back is gorgeous.
  22. Completely agree torilynn! we don't live where our family live anymore, so we decided against an AHR also.
