  1. Brandy - I don't even want to look at my "entire" to-do list. It would be way too overwhelming. But maybe when I'm only a few weeks out it will be better. Are you still posting your planning thread this week? I am so eager to see all your stuff!
  2. Lisa - that's horrible they won't let you on this site anymore. Don't they know that your wedding should be a priority!?! I'll be waiting to see your results.
  3. Maybe if I post my to-do list I will actually get part of it done: Complete program assembly Find vases for sand ceremony Purchase sand for ceremony Purchase cake knife Complete and order pre-travel brochures. More shopping for OOT bags and bridal party survival kits. Look for shoes and dresses to order online.
  4. I was born in Manitoba and I just had to fax over a request to vital statistics for a certified copy of my BC. It took about six weeks and I received it in the mail. FI was born in Ontario and he submitted the application online for a certified copy of his BC. He got his after only a couple of weeks. The Manitoba application only required my name, d.o.b and place of birth. The Ontario one wanted all kinds of info, right down to Mother's address at time of birth. Each of them cost about $25. It was pretty cool to see how our mother's wrote back then. And P.S. we were both born before 1984 and both provinces listed the fathers on the long form, there is no parental information on the short wallet size forms.
  5. I agree with Alexs Bride. Your sibings are being pretty selfish for not driving 3 hours to your open house. I'm guessing you live in Barrie based on your name, so 3 hours from there is basically just outside of Toronto. Your siblings probably spend that much time commuting each day. I don't think your parents should be responsible for paying for a dinner when your siblings live so close and you are already spending so much money on the open house.
  6. I might be interested in some of the Motrin. Where are you ordering from? And where do you live?
  7. I ordered my babyonline dress in the middle of February and she told me it would be done March 15. I'm just glad that I told her I needed it for March 20, because otherwise I won't get it in time for any alterations I might need.
  8. Laura that is very sexy and cute, I can see why your FI is so anxious for you to pick it up. Greysgirl the dresses are really nice. I may have to check out their site.
  9. Laura - I think that you are right for just sending the invite. You took some of her suggestions and are moving forward with what you and your FI like best. Brandy - That's so exciting! You'll be our second official MRS! Thanks Lesee!
  10. Here's a good one for 20% off Nina Shoes website purchases: NINAFB
  11. Readybetty, I was so happy to find them. I have to wear the slim card holder for work every day and it's a tight fit with just my ID card and hotel room key, so it's definitely worth it for a larger storage space. Plus it's a lot easier to see that the seal has been properly made. The only downside was the minimum 50 order, but I am trying to sell my extras at cost.
  12. NurseM, I haven't seen anything like that and it looks great on you. I like how the ruffles have the extra trim detail.
  13. Tris , I'm sorry that your friend is denying the inevitable and not responding. I think that would probably hurt the most especially when you seem so close. I know you weren't really thinking she would be able to attend, but she should have tried to at least be supportive. Lisa, I hope you're not too tired today after being up so late last night. I know some of that stuff can be addictive. I can't wait to see the changes you made. If anyone else wants the publisher template for my labels, let me know and I can post it here.
  14. Francine, Your dress looks beautiful. The skirt is really pretty and flowy.
  15. Lisa, I think it has more to do with me trying to procrastinate and avoid work stuff. I also love learning new programs. (such a geek) Thanks Brandy.
  16. Lisa, that's great news about the starfish. I tried to get on a list, but it just wouldn't work out. I actually just found a picture of the caramilk label and did a lot of editing in publisher. It took me a couple of hours, but I needed a break from work stuff. I also wanted something affordable for our guests that wouldn't be a big deal if they forgot. If you want the template I have, you're welcome to make your own changes to it. Now I just need to find some glossy paper, or maybe spring to have them printed by vistaprint. Right now, we are picking July 16th for our AHR. I plan on talking it over with my parents tonight so we shall see if my mom has a fit or agrees.
  17. I want to bring our WC some Canadian souvenirs. Does anyone have suggestions other than maple syrup or ice wine?
  18. I wanted to show you ladies the labels I made for our Caramilk chocolate favours and ask if anyone had comments or suggestions.
  19. Meggers - Sorry your Mom is being difficult and that Air Transat did such a stupid thing. At least your hair turned out. Bailey - You look so cute. Glad you had a good time. Erin - I totally understand. Good luck!
  20. No worries Erin. I really hope you find something that you can get in time.
  21. Hep A and Hep B vaccinations are great to have even if you don't travel. They are so easily spread.
  22. Erin, maybe you could order white wedge ones from Old Navy and then just embellish yourself?
  23. Laura - If you ladies want to make a trip to Ottawa in July I would love to have you attend!
