Ha Ha Lisa, that is so funny. You can PM your email and I will forward it to you.

Lisa that's great news about FI's suit, and your dress too. I heard there's a storm warning for the area tomorrow I hope you have a safe trip. Not sure if it was on your list, but if you were planning on going to the Coach outlet, I have a 30% off email.

It doesn't feel like it is so close. You ladies are lucky to still have a year. My advice is to buy things as you see them on sale, but keep a list handy of what you have and how you intend to use it. Otherwise, you will keep buying more stuff and forget about what you already bought or even why you bought it.

krsmith - As someone that is 2 months away from the wedding date, let me say that not many people are respective of RSVPs. We have only received back half of our formal RSVPs and I even had the addressed and stamped. There's no charge for a room block, so just book 25 - 30. You can always increase it if you need more. They release the unused rooms a month before your wedding date.

Laura - Fabulous order fulfilled. Teira - Enjoy the snow. It's currently -40 with the windchill where I am, so it's actually too cold to snow!

Janet, I know exactly what you mean. FMIL has never been out of the province and certainly never on vacation to a 5-star resort. She has already complained that she better have ocean view. Just be glad it's a fabulous vacation and if you want to see the ocean get out of your room and enjoy everything the resort has to offer! I will completely snap about having to give them money just to pay their bills if she complains about the resort. -

Crazy FMILs! Mine was great until we got engaged and now it's become so frustrating. I hate how weddings seem to bring out the worst in people, thank goodness it also brings out the best in some. -
Lisa, sometimes I feel like my real sisters are my friends because they really are supportive and understanding. I do have to say that being able to get things done on my own without FI was the only bonus of being apart. He never would have let me be so fussy and tedious about getting things done, especially our invites. He would have just wanted me to get them done so we could spend time together. Erin, it's good to know that at least now you two are speaking. Boys are so stubborn!

Laura, that's great and it's so much better knowing that the "fee" will go to the local hospital instead.

I'm in a similar situation. When FMIL started looking at dresses I told her get whatever you want just not a tiered skirt because my dress has tiers. Of course, the only one she tries on has tiers and she loves it. It's also three times as much as I expected her to spend and she always complains that she has no money and never offers to pay for anything. She once made the comment that I always want to have my way, but I really believe that I was more correct when I said that she just wants to ruin everything. But since she never likes anything I told her to just buy it. I think they just have a really hard time realizing that their sons chose to love us more? Thank goodness, I bought another dress that isn't as tiered. -

Ladies, Sorry you had rough evenings. My FI is finally starting to realize that I have done so much work and he still hasn't worked on our playlist. I even pointed out his excuses in front of the neighbors hoping it would motivate him so we shall see. Laura, his writing is fabulous! I hope you can find a notary, there is a lot of people that do it, and it only takes about 3 minutes per document. Try the yellow pages too?

Don't worry ladies, everyone at Palace Resorts takes a while to respond. Our wedding is in 2 months at Moon Palace and most of my questions have been answered, but the people in Miami are horrible to deal with unless you are giving them money. I sent an email over a month ago when I found out our reservation coordinator left the company. They still haven't responded or apologized for me finding out this information on this forum. We wouldn't even know who the new person was if my FI hadn't called to make his parents reservations. The people in Cancun have been great though for booking our locations and making spa appointments. Sometimes if you post a comment on their Facebook page they respond quicker.

Ohhh greysgirl I feel for you. Some people just can't give up the spotlight. I was also given a list of dates that would be "appropriate" for my sister to attend. And she still complains about every aspect. I hope your AHR is amazing and she regrets ever saying anything about being unsupportive especially when you have gone out of your way.

krsmith - Sadly you will be disappointed by a lot of people throughout the whole wedding experience, no matter where it is held. I have heard so many complaints, and sadly the people that really should have tried harder to be there waited until the last minute to give some sad excuse for not going. There will however be people that surprise you by attending. The important thing to remember is that, based on all the reviews and pictures, on your wedding day you will forget all the horrible things and have a beautiful day thanks to Palace Resorts.

Brandy, I love how the colors turned out for your programs. Meggers, gorgeous clutches Laura, are you sure you need them notarized? Ours are just certified copies of the originals that were stamped as such by the registrar's offices. I also figure worst case scenario we do the symbolic and make it legal after. The charms I got were two spacers, one with pink stones and one with clear stones, a vegas charm, a pink glass charm with hearts, and a panda bear. We booked our flights home well in advance of our flights out, so with our airline, we have 2 free bags each to come home but have to pay $20 for each of the second bags going down there. We're flying West Jet. I flew with them last night and I can already tell that it's a good thing I had planned on packing my dress small and having it steamed at the resort. I just hope that we can manage to get on the plane early so there's enough room for our carry on luggage. Each person is allowed two carry ons, so the bins are always jammed full of stuff. I forgot to mention, FI also bought my wedding day necklace over the weekend. It's a swarovski and so sparkly! I can't wait to wear it. I love being spoiled by him.

Lisa - I'm so glad that you worked things out with your sister. I agree that she shouldn't be included. Hopefully it will improve your relationship too, instead of faking something that isn't there. I would be so tempted to keep mine out too but then I would be down to just MoH and 3 GM! Although I keep thinking that FI's BM will drop out once he actually figures out how much it will cost. I feel so bad. You girls all worked out so hard all weekend, but because I was actually home with FI for the first time in a month we ate out for the whole three day weekend! And nothing healthy. I guess now I have to get back to being good until the wedding. We didn't do much wedding related. We picked up some first aid kits that another BDW bride was selling. FI couldn't understand why we would buy someone else's used stuff until I opened the packages and showed him what we got. Then he was impressed. We did a quick practice of dancing with my crinoline on. And that's about all. I was so sad that me e-ring isn't back from the jeweler yet. It sucks not being able to wear it, esp since we are apart from each other. But FI did surprise me with a Pandora bracelet that he bought for me while in Vegas for his bachelor party.
