Erin, I'm so happy to hear that things are working out better for your AHR. I didn't have a very productive day for the wedding. The only thing I managed was to pick up a few things for the wedding day survival kits. I did manage a good score from Dollarama though, I found snorkels and swim goggles. I'm a little concerned that the ones supplied by the resort aren't that clean, so I had been looking for our own to bring. So I managed to get both for under $5!

Aholen - I think it all depends on how much you want to spend and have available. My wedding band is a custom made Platinum setting with .25 ct of diamonds and it cost $2K. FI's band is white gold with a .05 diamond and it is also $2K. We wanted rings that we would love forever since we will be wearing and looking at them for the rest of our lives. Some people make think this is too high or too low, but we both love our rings and we could afford to spend that money on the ones we wanted.

Catherine, I have only received one email from her about a month ago when I left a phone message asking for an updated rooming list. FI tried calling last month and only got through to her when he said was calling to pay for his parents reservation. She is always "on the phone." It's horrible. I hope you don't experience too much more frustration. Aside from reservations, everything else is done through your on site coordinator. Do you have their contact information?

Hi Catherine, Our wedding date is April 22nd and no one has responded to any emails since Pilar left. The person that took over our account was Lisa Lizano but she hasn't answered anything either. Her phone extension is 6012. I'm completely upset about the way the reservations department handled the situation. No one has ever apologized for the issues. Thank goodness we have Claudia on site who has been excellent.

Lisa, good luck with the whitening and congratulations on the weight loss. You're doing amazing! For our programs, I made up a fan template in Publisher. I'm going to buy a stamp for the cover page, probably something tropical. I didn't print anything, because I am using 12 x 12 paper and it doesn't fit in my printer. The first page is our names and ceremony date/location, the second page is bridal party, third is parents and the last page is an invitation to our cocktail hour. Hopefully, I will get at least one done tomorrow and can post a pic on here. I didn't put the order of the ceremony because I wasn't completely sure, and now we have been told we can't include sand ceremony or any readings so it's a good thing I left that out. What are you looking to include for your wedding day itinerary?

I just got a message from our WC. Apparently, there is a new justice of peace and he is very strict with paper work and ceremony. She suggested we change our plans and get legally married here and just do symbolic there. The new JoP will not allow any script changes, no family readings, no sand ceremony, etc. She also said that witnesses have to be there 48 business hours in advance. I guess this is the snag in plans that we knew would eventually come along

Erin, I hope your FI does the smart thing and decides quickly so you can settle your AHR venue.

Laura it was the end of January and they were just starting to put them out. The funny thing is, when I went to the tanning salon yesterday, the girl there told me they aren't too busy now because most people have already taken their winter vacations. The flip flops are on sale there this weekend 2 for $6.

Tris - That is the policy for their airline tickets so it should be the same for the vacation packages. We bought our tickets separately, so we have each have two free bags coming home. Laura - I bought my old navy bandeau top in January from a store but they seem to be sold out now. Hopefully you can find stock this weekend. It is more difficult to find a properly fitting bandeau. I'm flying West Jet too because we booked directly through the resort. Tris if you booked your flight before November you get two free checked bags and two carry ons. We also called West Jet and got a discount code for our guests. It didn't matter where they were flying from or when, they just had to travel a week before or after our wedding date to or from Cancun.

Hmm.... I haven't seen any aloe at any of the Walmarts in Sask either. Does anyone have a picture of the ones they bought to maybe help us find them?

I would try open a complaint with DHGate anyways. And yes, it is because if they don't ship by a certain date, DHGate automatically cancels the order and issues a refund.

Meggers - I think the lanterns would be pretty, but I would be worried about having to weigh them down so they don't blow away. It is so hard to figure out how much to bring and not be overwhelmed with luggage. As for the aloe, I almost think us GTA ladies should figure out how many we all want and just place a group order that one of us can pick up in Buffalo. But I will still be keeping my eyes open for a reasonable price locally. On a positive note, my rings are finally back in Ontario! So hopefully FI will go soon to pick them up. Too bad, I will still have to wait a few more week until I go home to see them. And apparently when the jeweler called FI, he asked for cash.
