  1. I just placed my first order today. They had an additional offer that included shipping if you spent $30. So I was able to get the priority shipping for free. So for $34.00 incl tax here is everything I ordered: Â Tote Bag for me Hat for FI Save the Date Postcards STD Magnets Return Address labels Note Cards Sticky Notes Note Pad Window Decal for Morning of Wedding to Stick on Groom's Mirror Letterhead for OOT Bags. Â I'm so excited to see the stuff. Â P.S. What item are you using for the tip holder?
  2. I'm ordering a short reception dress from lightinthebox.com. I figure for under $100 I will chance it without trying on.
  3. Does anyone know how long it takes to get a response from the Contact Us page on the palace weddings website? Â I want to know if MP will perform a Catholic ceremony on Good Friday.
  4. I think I am going to be obsessed with Vista Print....  Here's my order so far:  Oversized Postcards for STD - upgraded for Colored Back Side Magnets for STD Business Cards for Luggage Tags Return Address Labels Car Door Magnet Hat for Groom Hat for FoG Wedding Day Window Decal Tote bag  Today is free shipping over $30 so I might just upgrade some items to avoid shipping.
  5. We got engaged two weeks ago, and I'm already stressed too. Just make sure you pick things that make you and your groom happy. Â For me, the major thing was picking a date. I figure the rest will fall into place after that. Check out the different options available at your resort and maybe that will help with color selection?
  6. Congratulations! Try to set a budget and decide from there which resorts are affordable. Also consider how many guests will attend and the availability.
  7. Those are gorgeous pictures. It almost made me cry because I can't wait to marry my man @ Moon Palace.
  8. My parents are members and will be booking their room through the membership. Does anyone know if they can pay for our wedding package? I think it will be a little cheaper for others to book through expedia.
  9. Yes, Moon Palace allows children. It's Isla Mujeres and Aventura Palaces that don't allow children. I believe the fee for kids is $46 per night.
  10. Hi There! Â We got engaged 2 weeks ago and are planning an April 2011 wedding at Moon Palace - Mayan Riviera. I would love some advice from other brides about what we need to prepare in advance, like necessary paper work. Â Here's the rundown of the events we're looking at attending: Engagement Party at Bride's parents Bridal Shower at Bride's parents Bachelor Party - LV Bachelorette Party - NYC Bridal Shower w/ Bride's Friends DW Finally, AHR - which I really want to keep low cost. Â I'm going to have to start praying each night to keep the costs low. Â Also looking for suggestions on flying from Buffalo. Is it necessary to have a TA?
  11. Does anyone know if you can get married in Mexico on Good Friday (April 22)? We might be able to have more guests if we get married over the Easter weekend, but it will prob be more expensive. Â I'm also wondering what other Canadian brides have done for the required paperwork. Thanks! Â
  12. Â Do you remember which magazine had the photos of the Amber collection? That is the package we are probably going to select. Â Right now, we are planning on picking a date for the third week of April 2011. I can't wait it will be fabulous! Â
  13. Best of Luck! My FI & I would be perfectly content if no one was able to show up. But will also be glad to have anyone that can afford to attend. It is our day as long as we end up happily married that is all that matters. Enjoy your time together, I ofter hear stories of couples going alone and meeting other couples that had the same plan. You may end up making life long friends on your trip and the most important thing is that you are together. I think it will be fine because of the AHR.
  14. I just started helping my parents organize our engagement party. Our families live close by but we live 5 hours away so it's a good chance for everyone to meet. We'll be holding it at my parents house and will probably have about 30-40 people, which is not unusual for my mom. Planning on dinner, drinks and dessert. I'm not expecting gifts, but I'm sure the odd person will bring something little. I might try to get our registry started before the event just in case someone wants.
