i chose Friday November 12, 2010 since November 11 is remembrance day/veterans day in canada/usa so most people got the Thursday off. We originally wanted to get married on New Years Eve but the resort said they don't do weddings on holidays.

i use the MAC brush cleanser (pink liquid in a bottle) about $12 CDN and it works great on foundation brushes, eye shadow brushes, lip liner brushes, blush brushes...

5 and a half months and counting! stuff i was able to cross of my list: - booked air/hotel packages for my groom and myself - STD's - bridesmaids dresses purchased and received - my wedding dress purchased (ready and to be picked up still) - Groom and groomsmen shirts purchased - Ceremony program printed (via vistaprint) - raffia fans purchased (just not put together for the ceremony programs yet) - my mom booked a hall for my bridal shower already - wedding shoes and accessories purchased - centrepieces purchased (starfish plates with clear vases and candles to go inside - still need to find other votive candle holders to put around it) - invitations done and sent (we did passport invites that the Best Man created for us!) - favor boxes purchased (just need to order the personalized m & m's) - menu cards printed (via vistaprint) - Kakui nut lei's for the ring bearers and groomsmen (instead of bouts) still need to purchase: - Groomsmen pants - Flower Girl dresses - Real touch flowers (yikes - if i can't make them myself i may just order real flowers in Mexico) - chair sashes - personalized m & m's Need to still make - slideshow - bouquets - possible OOT bags (i may just buy the stuff to put inside there and just buy the actual bags here) hmm i feel like i am missing stuff!

i am in the same boat with everyone else - just waiting to see what the final guest count is so i can start making favors, place cards, escort cards, OOT bags etc... booo! i am sending out my invites this week with an RSVP date of August 1, 2010. I've ordered my dress (back in Dec 09) and its still not in - i hope it fits when it comes in.

I didn't think this mall had much to offer - a couple restaurants, lots of boutique shops and souvenir type places. I found the prices to be expensive. i found the shops in the resort i stayed at were cheaper because you were able to negotiate prices. Although i didn't like the resort we stayed at Barcelo.
