    I was thinking of going simple too! But then I see all this great stuff on the forum. So I'm changing my mind. The only thing I'm concerned about is the cost at the resort for extra decor

    Hi Do you know someone who is a bartender and can get you a deal on the booze? I would check that out. I'm not sure how people would feel if they attended and had to pay at a bar at someone's house. I personally feel as though cash bars are kind of tacky, but that's just me. Maybe you could have basic wine and beer and one signature drink.

    i was thinking of that too. I've researched stateside and the cheapest I could find for the attention that I want is about $4,000!!! I Just can't do it. That would put our wedding costs including honeymoon over $20,000. I can't fathom spending that much especially since we just bought a house. I do have a couple of friends who are good at this type of thing, so I guess I'm lucky to have a free coordinator.
