I am getting married at the Barcelo in PV, its south of town in the Mismaloya section. I have a time share at the Mayan resorts - I have been to Mayan Palace in NV and my parents have stayed at the Mayan in PV. I defiantly agree with Andi - make a list of what you want and narrow it down from there. Also you can get a TA involved to help you make the decision. Good luck!

Congrats! It sounds like you had a great time. Can you give me the contact information for Raul Covarrubias PV Tours? I need to find transportation from our hotel to the church and back and your review of Raul sounded great.

I've talked to my TA about it and she said she has priced out shipping stuff before and it is more expensive and not as reliable as checking a bag on the plane. From what I've read on the forum the consensus is not to ship. I plan on bringing my stuff down in Rubbermaid containers and leave whatever I can there.

I like #1 also, and as far as fitting, usually they fit regularly, I am between an 8 & 81/2 and any 81/2 shoes I have gotten online are too big so maybe go to the smaller size.

I think it looks perfect especially if you are having your reception outdoors - The mic would be great for speeches so everyone hears. Also then you would have a great sound system for parties at home too. I know Bose has good sound quality but for an outdoor reception I would be worried it wouldn't be loud enough, maybe if you have multiple smaller speakers. IMO this pa system looks like it would be a great deal and you would still save money even if you have to pay extra to check it on the plane.

I need your help ladies! I have been looking everywhere for a legal day dress - I even bought a back-up dress to get altered (a lot) in case I can't find anything. I have searched the forum, and what feels like every single website/store for a white dress for my legal day. I found some but I guess I am really picky because I haven't found one I love yet. I want to wear my blue shoes that I bought for the wedding (I don't have a pic yet) with the dress, I want it to be above the knee, and I think I look best in a dress with straps or halter top with an empire like high-waist (I'm kinda chesty and carry all my weight in the middle) I would love to spend no more than $100, but I'm flexible... Hopefully with all your help I will find a perfect dress and stop stalking the internet!! Thanks in advance!!

I was just talking to my mom about inviting people to the shower who aren't invited to the wedding. IMO I think it depends on who it is and your relationship with them. I think especially with a DW, it would be fine for your parents to have a party/celebration for you guys. It's not like you are doing it begging for gifts they just want to celebrate the happy occasion. With a small guest list people will understand you are just doing family and close friends. I don't think you need to have a AHR especially with your family from all over the US it would be like another "destination wedding"
