Since we have to walk in the sand for a minute or so, I want both of my parents to walk me up to the aisle runner. From there I want to walk myself down the aisle with them following me. Basically to symbolize that they got me this far, but its up to me to make it down the aisle. And with them behind me it shows their joined support.

Hey August 2010 Brides..... Doesn't it seem like time is flying by. I told my sister that I have a to do list for a to do list - its gotten that crazy. My save the dates went out 2 weeks ago and I am trying to have my invites finalized by the end of this month. We have deposits on everyting so that makes me feel better. I think that my friends and family are more excited about this than we are at times. There is still so much to do in what seems like a blink of an eye.... Jen C

I was on duosheng.com and I wanted to inquire about the different colors, fabrics, and most of all prices. How do I see this information? There are no prices or material listings....if anyone has ordered from there before how did your process go?

Rebecca (Allurements by Rebecca) did my save the dates and I am forever grateful....she was wonderful to work with and gave me options that I didnt even know were possible.

I am so sorry for your loss. You relationship with her reminds me of my grandfather and I. Planning your wedding now seems almost impossible but believe that she will want you to have the most spectacular day because she will be there. I will say a special prayer for you and your family.

I am watching the "Bernadette" episode as we speak...LOL. I can't even imagine how much he would charge, his work is BEYOND amazing. As far as wedding coordinators go make sure you do your homework because a lot of them are doing the same thing that we are which is browsing website and talking on blogs.... something that we can do for free.

She sounds like my "former" best friend. When I became pregnant with my daughter she was right there telling me how excited she was and how she couldn't wait to spoil her. All of a sudden towards the end of my pregnancy she backed off and didn't even show up to my baby shower. I forgave her and moved on but time after time she would back out of "best friend" situations.... which to make a long story short, it was all out of jealously. She is a major DRAMA QUEEN and creates the drama herself but I have always been there as her voice of reason so when I got pregnant she told me that she was jealous of my stability....Once again making the situation all about her. I still talk to her but I have to love her from afar. I am curious to know if your friend has a husband/fiance?

Met through a mutual friend in 1997, started "officially" dating in 1998, moved in together in 2004, getting married in 2010. So it will be 11 years 7 months 19 days 18 hours by the time our 08/20/2010 wedding rolls around - but hey I am not watching the clock...no not me...LOL

OK so after seeing these photos, I DO NOT have a choice. All of the photos are GORGEOUS.....this will go on my to do list as number 34,365,667,865. LOL

Congrats and Welcome....I can honestly say that all the ladies here are more than helpful.

My fiancee and I have decided to hire a photographer for a day while on our honeymoon. We thought about engagement pictures but we have a gazillion candid pictures that we have taken over the years that we are using instead. We feel that being in Jamaica for our honeymoon will make for an amazing backdrop in such a romantic place with the beach, ocean and breath taking sunsets. Is anyone else doing this?

I have been going back and forth on colors and flower types... at this point I cant even see straight. This is the final product... sorry for the fuzzy pictures.

Sandra I totally love your invites...my colors are just the opposite. I have a pink pocket fold and orange ribbon. I was wondering if you could tell me if you used white or champagne metallic paper for your pocket inserts and invite?

I totally agree with not obligating your guests to a specific itineary for their trip. The way I see it is that most will use this as a vacation and will want to participate in the extra activities either some, all or none of them. I put on my website what our plans are activities and that all are welcome to join but its not mandatory.

We can't decide on which resort to choose for our honeymoon. Do you ladies have any insight on either resort? I vote for Excellence and he wants Iberostar, partly because we have been to Mexico a few times before. In your opinions which has the most ROMANCE factor?

Both sets of our grandparents have passed as well as his dad and my aunt (who was like mom #2). I have decided to incorporate a poem into our program to honor them. Seeing a photo, IMO, may make others super sad and start to cry. So I figured with a poem it applies to all of the deceased family members and people can choose to read it then or at a later time. Although you are not here for us to see Through us, your love will live on and continue to be To honor you, stories will be shared with family and friends So the memory of you will go on to no end We know that you are watching and smiling from above You are sharing with us our expression of love Continue to help guide us as we go on our way As we become husband and wife on this special day

Now I am soooo PI$$ED off ... you mean to tell me that I am not going to get an invite to everyones wedding after I visited their website..AARGH !!! Just Joking...I would have to agree that if you are not going to send them an invite to the wedding do not send them an invite to view your website. Its like saying- "Look at this GREAT celebration I am going to have, just not with you !!! " On the flipside I have a link to my wedding website on facebook so that anyone can view if they choose too, but I don't invite people to look.

All I can say is keep your head held high and your eye on the prize. When you and your hubby look back at your wedding pics with the beautiful sand and georgeous ocean in the background you will know that you made the right decision. What it boils down to are the two of you, follow your hearts and dont look back. I know I won't.
