Good luck with the planning process. I can't beleive it so close :-) I am starting to feel a little consumed by everything. I cant believe that we are down to just a few months...scary

So glad that I found this site.... There are a ton of great ideas! Thanks! Yay...Crystal I'm glad you are doing this too. Be sure to update me when you get back with the responses from your guests. I am sure its going to cause a lot of questions and comments as most people have never heard of or seen this. My only fear is that I will be an emotional wreck when trying to write his letter. The closer we get to the date the more "unwrapped" I seem to be becoming..LOL

I don't want a long ceremony, but some that are over in 10 mins, it's like, geez that was it?!!! I totally agree. Unless you're having some sort of religious ceremony with a service then its over in 15 minutes or less. What I like about this addition to the ceremony is that it will allow us to incorporate other loved ones to play a part in the ceremony. So for example, since both my parents (who are divorced) are walking me down the aisle, I wanted to have his mom (his dad is deceased) present us with the wine glasses and my step dad present us with the letters and bottle of wine. Basically, they will come up, present us with the items, give hugs and kisses, and together we put them into the box.
  4. Here is some wording that I tweaked...what do you think? Love Letter and Wine Box Ceremony – Officiant (ADDRESSING GUESTS): Jennifer and Laurthel as a couple, have chosen to perform a Love Letter & Wine Box ceremony. This box will contain a bottle of wine, two glasses, and a love letter from each to the other. The letters describe the good qualities they find in one another, the reasons they fell in love, and their reasons for choosing to marry. The letters are sealed in individual envelopes and they have not seen what the other has written. Officiant (ADDRESSING COUPLE): Jennifer and Laurthel, should you ever find your marriage enduring insurmountable hardships, you are to as a couple, open this box, sit and drink the wine together, then separate and read the letters you wrote to one another when you were united as a couple in marriage. By reading these love letters you will reflect upon the reasons you fell in love and chose to marry each other here today in front of the most cherished people in your lives. The hope is, however, that you will never have a reason to open this box. If this is the case, upon your 5th wedding anniversary you are to open this box to share, enjoy and celebrate your love and dedication to one another. With that being said, Jennifer and Laurthel please place the bottle of wine, two glasses and letters into the box and seal it. Officiant (ONCE ITEMS HAVE BEEN PLACED IN BOX AND SEALED): I recommend that you keep the box in a place of honor, prominently displayed in your home as a constant reminder of your commitment to each other and your vows.

I have lots of time before my wedding (over a year and a half) so I'm sure I can get it when it comes in. Where are you having your ceremony and reception? Im getting married on Smather's Beach but haven't found a reception location yet. Hi Kwaits... We are getting married on Smathers Beach as well. I went with Weddings To Go Key West as our officiant/vendor because we have about 25 people coming and they provide up to 30 chairs at no additional cost. Our reception is booked at Conch Republic Seafood Co. and we chose this place because of 1) the ability to customize the menu buffet and 2) its right on the beautiful marina which is going to be gorgeous at sunset. They also have live music every night so that takes care of the DJ. I booked Duane "Bongo D' Scott to play the steel drums at our ceremony and he only charges $250. We went there last August just to get a feel for the weather and atmosphere and fell in love with the place. You get the best of both worlds with island life and the amenities of the mainland..LOL. The only thing that I am concerned with now would be the hurricane forecast. It is predicted to be a record setting season...AARRGH

  9. Sorry I have MIA ladies but I have had the whole world crashing in on me for the past couple of weeks. But I am back. I havent been able to workout for the past two days because I over did it on TaeBo - I know its old, but Billy gets the job done, no questions asked. My FI threw me a surprise birthday party instead of taking me to Mitchells Fish Market, which I had a gazillion times more fun. So far I have lost 4 or so pounds and I think my only saving grace from my birthday pigout was the fact that I danced all night long.....from about 10 pm to 430 am, LOL.
  10. I also like Rainbeau Mars' Yoga for beauty. Its a two disc set for dawn and dusk. I really like the dusk dvd and she has music from Jai Uttal which is very calming. For more advanced yoga gurus try Yoga X - as part of the P90X system.
  11. WOW...time sure does fly by because that means that I have 211 days.
  12. In all honesty most of my guests are waiting until Feb/March to get taxes out of the way.
  13. Ok Tash I just emailed my (horrible) pictures to you..........Lets do this LADIES !!!

It explains that your food proportion should be 13% carbs, 33% protein and 53% fat in order to lose weight. It also says that you should keep your suguars down because you burn fat when your insulin levels are low. It's made me decide to start having an egg for breakfast instead of my yogurt because my 100 calorie yogurt has 14 grams of sugar. How to Diet to Lose Weight (Page 1 of 3) Good luck girls. Good info Malisa.....thanks a bunch

  16. In my opinion its way too early to book. My FI and I went to Key West last August to check out the venue and hotels and I didnt book until late May. Our wedding is August 20, 2010 and I advised everyone to not even think about booking until May. My Aunt is a travel agent and she said that booking 90 days out is the earliest you want to book.

I laughed and said "Well, you know... there are these things around us called the Great Lakes? Ever heard of them? Plus I think that they probably fly the seafood in fresh" Which they do... daily. Are raw oysters bad for you? I thought that they were on the healthy-ish side.... although that might explain why I want to lose weight! Those I can guarantee ARE NOT healthy-ish. As we all know preparation is about 70% of maintaining healthy eating habits. I came to realize this after I started craving fried broccoil and I tried to justify the fact that it was still broccoil....I already know - you dont have to say anything..LOL. As far as an aphrodisiac that would be an awsome side effect because that could count as my cardio...
  18. Welcome Mandi - Congrats on picking your location.....
  19. I want to hire a photographer for a TTD session the day after my wedding in Key West ....what would be considered a mid range price for a photographer?
  20. I am sooooo in on this BL8 season. However, I already need to make a confession. My birthday is Jan 16th and I am going to Mitchells Fish Market for some of the best oysters on earth but I promise to make it up, cardio wise. LOL
  21. My fiance likes to make up stats about random stuff and it drives me nuts because he sounds so convincing. We we going tit for tat last week and he made up some ridiculous stat about wedding budgets that I had to make up my own......83% OF BRIDES THAT PLAN AN AUGUST WEDDING ACTUALLY STRANGLE THEIR FIANCE BEFORE THE WEDDING DATE. How bout those apples stat man !!!!

I think it'd work much better for photos. I really like that idea....That will give some extra time for my steel drum player to complete my song.
