My maid of honor is a Hairdresser. -There is probably more, but these are the big things left to do. Here is a picture form my shower, gotta love toilet paper bride! (I’m 2nd from the left) haha...i think the toilet paper bride game is mandatory now at showers...i have a picture that looks very similiar too. i'm having the hardest time picking out the 4 songs for the ceremony... i'm almost done everything else but that.
  2. mine was included in the wedding package. i had a choice of many different styles. a friend of ours is a florist and i had her look at the pics and pick out what she thought would work best with my dress, theme etc. i asked for something more specific and was told each flower would be $80usd+...so we decided to have mine be real and the BM's have silk flowers to cut down on costs. From my research it can be anywhere from $75-150 average price. Ask the resort what they have and see if you can work around your options...or bring a few things to make it look a little nicer. We're bringing peacock feathers, and nicer satin ribbon & crystals.
  3. we are having a peacock colored theme wedding .... black, blue, green, browns BM's are wearing black dresses, carrying green hydragenas hand tied bouquet with blue satin ribbon and peacock feather in it. the GM's are wearing black shirts, light beige pants, with a peacock boutinierre with blue satin ribbon the hints of actual peacock feathers are subtle, not over done.
  4. i went to wedding there last april. there were 54 of us in attendance for it. everyone had a great time from what i know. the ceremony was at the gazebo...and like someone else posted earlier it is set up a bit awkward where the bride/groom & wedding party are up higher and the guests down below. the aisle walking up to it is not down the middle, but around to the left side. they had a a legal ceremony and the WC read the script in spanish then english. the only thing the bride/groom said was 'i do' and sign the papers. it was a little hard to understand at times due to her heavy accent and the low volume on the microphone. they had a trio playing music at the end which was fun and we all drank champagne & did some group photos. it is right on the path where the trolley cart goes by so it's not very private. however...i will say...it was still beautiful. i saw a couple of weddings on the beach that week and there were way more people around than the gazebo. at least the area is a little more closed off. the beach ceremony had people sitting in chairs 5 ft from the ceremony in their speedos. that's a bit too much. we had dinner at one of the buffets...we had a section closed off for us...and ate before they opened it up to the rest of the guests at the resort. the food was good, the table was set up in a U-shape. there was a guy playing piano on a boat going up and down the canal (or whatever that was) and some guests got up and danced. afterwards we all went to the lobby and had some drinks...some went to bed some of us to the disco to party some more. if you have any more specific questions about the resort don't hestitate to ask.
  5. good question, i was wondering the same. i'm thinking of putting it out during the dinner.
  6. oh wow...i love those pricilla of boston dresses. wish i had known about them when picking out BM dresses. i gave my girls a colour (black) and told them to pick their own. so far everyone picked out nice stuff...in a style they could wear again and that flatters their body type. so i'm happy and they're happy.
  7. no one has said 'moments that matters' yet MEXICO Destination Wedding Photography, Wedding Photojournalism throughout the Mayan Riviera

  14. great review. i love love love your dress. i saw that online way before i got engaged and forgot all about it when i went dress shopping. beautiful photos! congrats! thanks for sharing.
  15. love the poem. might use that too. i am having such a hard time finding the right gift to give to our parents.
  16. i added thin beaded straps to my strapless dress. i added them 'halter style'. it really gives the dress a whole new look. i don't have before & after pics at the moment. but here's the dress Kadence - by Maggie Sottero

My boudoir photo shoot is next Saturday, we're finishing up our music list, mailing off the last of the favours (so we don't have to cart our mugs down to mexico, they can do it for us!), tanning and getting my dress altered. FI is still on the look out for pants and I need to get a pedi, a bikini wax, and go trip shopping for suits and capris. we're in the same boat. i just had my wedding shower on the weekend, and bachlorette 2 weeks ago. 24 days to go for me! i feel like there's so much to do, but i keep checking my lists and i think i'm narrowing things down! what day are you getting the resort at? we'll be there the 18th-25th. can't wait!
  18. i had no idea about what to use before either. i rarely wear makeup...but i took the plunge and had a makeup trial with mac. it was great, she taught me how to apply properly and said i could come back in as well if i have troubles. i just wish someone would of warned me how much money i was going to spend! haha. i'm still waiting for FI to see the mastercard bill...haha!
  19. this is called the master cleanse diet and i don't recommend it. i am a holistic nutitionist. there is absolutely no nutritional value in this drink. it causes more harm in most people than good. if you are to do it, i would only suggest under constant supervision of a medical professional. the best ways to lose weight are to eat properly and exercise. cut out white flours, sugars, processed meats, packaged foods and most dairy. include whole grains, veggeis, fruits, beans, legumes, fish & poultry. eat smaller meals, more times a day, get enough protein and eat in moderation. any questions. feel free to ask me. remember you hold the key to your own well being. there is no real quick fix diet.
  20. i've been racking my brain too lately trying to think of what to get both sets of our parents for gifts. i want something that they will have as a keepsake. i like the idea of a special photo with them on the wedding day, printed & framed.
