  1. i'm taking my husbands last name...and debating on changing my middle name to my maiden...although i say this now i have yet to fill out the paperwork. i need to start practicing my new signature!
  2. i just got married a week ago and we didn't really have any stress beforehand or while away. a few people complained here & there during the process and when we first got to the resort. i didn't let that bother me because i know it's their personality to focus on the negative instead of the positive. i didn't over plan for the destination wedding and do too many extra things (no OOT bags, just favours). we didn't even see the area we were getting married until we walked down the aisle. i think not knowing what to expect was fun. it also helps that DH & i aren't they type of people to freak out if certain details didn't go as planned. just enjoy the process and if something starts stressing you out too much...stop and think why you are doing it.
  3. wow great pics! congrats! loved the colours...and dress...and i love love love your necklace!!
  4. wow those are great bags...and your guests will get good use of them afterwards too! good find!
  5. it's a beautiful spot...you'll love it!
  6. ok thanks for letting me know. i went with the place for $94...and my dress isn't big or poofy so was wondering if i could of got it for less. $300 seemed like a lot just to clean it.
  7. there are pics posted in the GBP thread http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo.../index289.html i just got married at the tulum gazebo last week...it was beautiful!
  8. welcome & congrats! take the time to read the GBP thread for ideas http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo.../index289.html i've been to the resort 3x...and just got married at tulum last week!
  9. congrats! def check out the GBP thread for ideas http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo.../index289.html if you have any other questions...ask me...i just got married there last week!
  10. I'm curious what others paid to get their wedding dress dry cleaned afterwards? We just got married last week...and our AHR is in 3 weeks so I need to wear it again. I priced around in my area and was quoted $94 to $300 range.
  11. i have food allergies (meat, chicken, pork) and i'm lactose intolerant. i just got married in mexico last week and i had no problem finding enough food to eat. if it is a severe allergy (epi-pen required) she can let them know when she is booking al la carte restaurants and they may have her bring a note with her to the reservation. at the buffet there should be enough to eat for her without milk as i'm sure this is something she has dealt with long enough to know what foods to avoid. i prefered eating at the buffets over the al la carte because their was more options for me and i could pick & choose what i wanted. if you have any more questions feel free to ask me. i'm also a holistic nutritionist.
  12. haha the A-team is awesome. I knew I should of did the brady bunch 'sunshine day' then...haha. But...instead we walked down to all instrumental piano & string songs from the 'vitamin string quartet' i picked 'friday i'm in love' - the cure - instrumental! it was friday...i love that song...and i knew it wouldn't make me cry...haha i picked journeys-don't stop believin'-piano version for FI & the groomsmen and 'you're my best friend -queen -instrumental for my bridesmaids!
  13. wow...great photos! you look beautiful...congrats! sounds like you lucked out with your resort...that's awesome! i'm sure your review ...especially of the royal club will help others deciding on a resort.
  14. check the wedding locations...if they are private or public...or if that matters to you. some resorts are better for that than others. also...ask to see what the back up plan is if it rains. we picked a resort we had been to 2x...but only saw the wedding locations in photos online afterwards. we just got married a week ago and still didn't see the wedding location until we walked down the aisle. it was everything we wanted and more...couldn't be more happy. plus...just on a side note...even if we had planned all these little details for the ceremony i wouldn't of remembered it...the whole day seems like a dream it happened so fast!
  15. oh and i just noticed nora posted one of our wedding pics on her blog!! can't wait to see more! Nora's Wedding Blog International Destination Wedding Photography
  16. i dealt with karla at coba. she was great...always responded to emails within a day or so. i'd contact paloma first. i think jazmin is still there. i met a jazmin at our ceremony last week...she said she was karla's assistant for the day but we got married at tulum and stayed at coba. so i assume it's the same person. they are out running around all day with these weddings and probably not near their computers all day so be patient with them.
