Apparently a few were watching but I never noticed. I have tonnes of pictures and not one other guest is in any pics. I also saw a couple at the gazeboo and they were wonderful as well. Francelia is a sweetheart. It was everything I dreamed of. I recommend doing the wedding boat for the reception. It made our wedding so much more special. It was private and romantic. If anyone has any questions I will be happy to answer : ) Congrats Holly!!! I'm glad everything went perfectly. When did u find out the actual time for your wedding? Francelia said i will find out when i get to the resort. I hope mine will be great just like yours. I'm leaving in a week..i'm super excited!! cant wait!!
  2. welcome!!! Which places are you considering?? Cuba and Dominican are great places to get married. I'm sure you will find a location sooner or later. You will find lots of info in this site. good luck!!

I emailed her today asking what happens if it rains. I have seen a few girls on here that have gone on the boat and loved it! I know someone who just went to the resort and loved it. They said it was updated in alot of areas. Maybe that was why all the construction was going on? I hope so anyways! haha Hey Holly! quetions about the boat: how much per head? limit per group? minimum/maximum is your group the only one present or are you sharing with another group? would love it if you can send me her info.. thanks a bunch!!!

If you were going to use the salon, i would just be sure to bring a clear printed picture of what you want. The flowers that were provided by the resort were not really what I expected. But then again i wasn't planning on using them anyways! The princess package includes a bouquet for the bride and a boutinier for the groom. I asked for a simple bouquet with gerber daisies. It had gerbers, but was not simple. As well it costs $50 us per additional bouquet. So it would have been $150US for all my bridesmaids. I actually went to michael's craft store and made all four bouquets for around $100 and they were gorgeous! Everyone made comments about them and it was pretty simple. The only issue I had with this was packing. I bought a box and some packing peanuts, when i got to the airport they were worried because it was too LIGHT. So if you can carry it on it would be better. All my bridesmaids were flying from difference airports or I would have asked them to carry their own on. I wasn't offered a colour choice for the chair covers but I am sure if you asked about it they could provide you with a few options. She told us ours would be white, and that was fine with us. So ask ahead of time to avoid disappointment. I've decided to buy some bouquet of flowers instead of getting it from the resort. Did you get your make up done @ the salon? thanks a bunch!!

It cost the same as the private places there so I thought it would be a nice idea for the guests and us. We get to bring our own music so I liked the idea of it being private. I haven't even thought what will happen if it rains. I have to email her to see. We have 26 going including us. Mostly family. You won't have a problem if your friend is staying at the resort. They told me no photographers from the Bavaro area. I am pretty upset about that. I still don't know what I'm going to do about photos. I don't have wedding favours yet. I like your idea! I was going to do something with starfish. I have about 30 but I'm not too sure. I wanted Dreams as well! I'm kind of regretting it. When we booked we had a really good group rate. I thought it would be fair to go with that rate so our guests wouldn't have to pay as much. A few people I know have been to this resort and loved it so I hope it all turns out. I'm a bit nervous after reading the latest reveiw.... lol I was wondering about the boat reception. How long is your reception party on the boat? Do you get to choose your menu? I hope it doesn't rain..
  7. it looks amazing!!! i just checked out the link and she has some cool designs!

They serve drinks the whole time and it was a ton of fun. Outback Safari Adventure Tour in Bavaro, Punta Cana and Puerto Plata - Dominican Republic I went to this tour 2 Years ago and it was fantastic!! this outback safari adventure was one of the best tour i've ever done!! My favourite was the boogie boarding!! Can't wait to go back..
  9. CONGRatSSS on your engagement!!
  10. Welcome!! You will find whatever you need here!!
  11. @ Holly 22- We got the Princess package. Not too sure if I'm gonna add more stuff to it because it already have tons included. We've decided on the gazeboo because it's more itimate. A lot of people are saying that the beach has too many people "watching". (I would really feel uncomfortable) The beach would be a great background though. I think we are getting 4 or 5pm not really too sure. Is the dinner on the boat the resorts? Or it is from outside?? How many people are you bringing with you? We have 20 people including us, mostly family and close friends) Are you bring a close friend that is a professional photographer or were you planning on hiring someone? Why can't you bring a photographer? Is it because the photographer is not staying at the resort? My friend is a semi-pro photographer and he will be staying at the resort, do you think I'm gonna have a problem with him taking pictures? Well hopefully the pictures you guys take will be HOT! I'm sure you will LOVE them, then you can buy more. I think you can try and barter with the price. Did you buy your wedding favours? What is it? I'm debating if I should just buy something in Dominican, so I don't have to lug them around. I know everyone in this forum is going to be married at Dreams. I really wanted to be married there too but all Dreams resort is over booked for May already. It's okay Bavaro Princess looks promising. Yes, it's great that I can talk to you. thank god i'm not the only one getting married at Bavaro Princess.
  12. @ Holly22- So are you all ready for your wedding this April? What kind of wedding package did you get? I have talked to Francelia via email and everything seems ok. I just don't really know what to expect.. What time are you getting married? beach or gazeebo?
