  1. I'm not sure if you are expecting too much as this is the first time I have ever used a travel agent. I am using DW.com. I have had no issues with them, although I know other girls on here have. Denise looked at numerous resorts and came back with quotes for each. She has booked, so far, 18 people's hotel stay and flights. She has also stayed on the wedding coordinator when I have a hard time getting in touch with them. They are definitely more like travel agents than wedding planners, in my opinion, but they do offer to do STDs for you. But, anyway, I am very happy with them...I would have not been able to handle booking everyone's travel and answering all my guests' questions...Denise saved me of that! Good Luck
  2. Your pictures are wonderful! You were a beautiful bride...your flowers and hair!! Just so pretty
  3. I would like to know what the detail on the candle holders is. Love the lime-yellow-navy combo...good work!! And now I must google photo-fetti
  4. This dress looks amazing on you! Congrats on finding 'the one'!!
  5. Hello Ladies! I plan to send out a post card to remind folks to book their travel (and give them a deadline) and to make sure they get their passports. I planned to send it out in January sometime (my wedding is in June). I don't plan to send out a formal invite to the wedding just because it is going to be so small, I plan to have a get together for everyone to get their OOT bags and pre-travel info and I figured there is no point in a formal invite. But I also plan to send an invite for my AHR and I wondered if since the AHR will be in July (when a lot of people go on vacation) if I should just combine the post card and invite into one envelope and send it in January or if I should wait to send the AHR invite until closer to the summer (and have it say that we are on our trip to get married, join us when we get back, etc...) I hope that made sense!!
  6. I bought my girls a beach bag and have things like bath gel, passport cover, tanks that say MOH/BM, I also bought their dresses and plan to buy their shoes and also $100 toward their trip. FI plans to get his guys something like either a nice knife, a beer mug with their initials, a cigar humidor (SP?), or something like that. There are a few threads on this, but I am not good at searching...Good luck!!
  7. I fell over a fence when I was younger and had a scar on my lower leg that I always told people was from a bear (it looked like three long claw marks). I put Cocoa Butter on it multiple times a day. It was a stick like chapstick and I would just put it on anytime I thought about it and they are barely visible now. I think they even make some that don't have a scent now-a-days. Good luck!
  8. Thrifting is my favorite sport, so I actually bought my cards from Good Will on Saturday for $2 for like 50 cards. But I am not married yet, so I don't have the 1st Christmas together to celebrate
  9. I know I will be blubbering too. I have just decided that I will have to get some good water proof mascara and learn how to cry pretty I cried in my car the other night because I saw an elderly couple holding hands as they walked across the street. Yeh, there will be no stopping my tears!!
  10. You may have to click on the pieces and group them together so that they are all one piece. To do this you should click on one part and hold down control while you click on another part, then right click and look for grouping - then click group. I think that might work!

    Hello

You will find most anything you need on this forum. There are even pages just for Mexico brides...I'm sure you will find other girls who have been to or are getting married where you are looking. Have fun and good luck!
  12. I think you have already made a great first step by joining this forum. You will figure out everything you need to know here. If you have any questions just do a search and I'm sure someone else here has already asked it and the rest of the girls have already shared their wisdom on it. Congrats on your marriage and beautiful baby girl. Good luck with everything!!
  13. I'm sorry you are feeling frustrated with finding your dress. I think that maybe most people have to try on sizes that don't fit them when they go to bridal shops. I know that I had to either get squeezed in a size too small or get pinned up into size or two bigger. Maybe try to find a shop that has a more private fitting area, so you can feel comfortable really looking at the dresses you try on. I'm sure you will find 'the one' for you...it may just take some time. Good luck with everything
  14. Yeh, that is a bit of an ouch, but I guess you have to look at (1) how important it is to you and (2) what all is included in the shoot. If the TTD is high on your priority list then I'm sure you could probably scale back something else (especially since you are just focusing on the two of you) to really make that happen. Someone once said to me (on here, of course) that you can make the money back that you spent...but you can't go back and have your wedding over again to do something you regret you didn't. Good luck in your decision!
  15. That is SUCH a sweet story! I could just picture it all as I read your story. I bet your little girl was just busting at the seams - and that was so sweet of him to include her. I'm sure that made her feel SO special! Congratulations on having such a special engagement and such a sweet FH!
  16. It would have been so funny if she would have actually done the rap. Loved the words though! I agree that she was pretty uncomfortable looking.
