  1. That doesn't sound very healthy for the kid...
  2. So, I googled "dry beans" and there's a "National Dry Bean Counsel"...You have GOT to be kidding me!!!! But I did find this from The Cooks Theasaurus, so I think canned are OK... "Beans are low in fat and loaded with nutrients, and we'd probably eat more of them if they weren't also loaded with flatulence-producing enzymes. There are ways to enjoy beans without having to forego social appointments, however. One is to change the water from time to time while you're soaking or cooking the beans. Pouring off the water helps gets rid of the indigestible complex sugars that create gas in your intestine. It also helps to cook the beans thoroughly, until they can be easily mashed with a fork. Most bean aficionados prefer dried beans, but canned beans are also available. These don't need to be cooked, but they tend to be saltier and less flavorful than reconstituted dried beans. "
  3. Good morning FI was having a hard time grasping "no sweatner what-so-ever in your coffee" LOL I sent him off to work with a big bowl of soup, large tupperware of watermelon and a peach and nectarine (I hope I sent him enough food LOL). I ate some watermelone too - YUM! I think I'm going to weigh myself so I know where I start. Question abuut tomorrow...you know how they say try to stay away from dry beans, does that mean kidnee beans and chick peas...even canned ones??
  4. I'm very excited! I hope it works!!!! It's actually very close to the way I lost 70 lbs about 7 years ago...unfortunately it all (and then some) came back. Even if we don't get the weightloss we want, the detox result of it will be beneficial!!!
  5. I remember reading somewhere that lemons are really hard to get in mexico...like you'd have to go to a speciality shop and they're really expensive...just an FYI
  6. Got my soup ready, watermelon cut up and varios other fruits and veggies....We're all set for tomorrow. How are you doing?
  7. Keep us posted! I know I had 2 of the songs on your list, but my PC crashed a month or two ago and I lost all my music
  8. I think the printer gets too hot, that's why you can't use it (I know that's the case for photo paper)
  9. Take a deep breath! Check out MP3Fiesta.com. You can download songs really cheap (.10 or .12 a song). Take a look and see if they have what you're looking for. I've used the site, and no weird charges showed up on my Credit Card.
  10. Good luck Sharla! Congrats and have a great time!!! Can't wait to see pics and a review when you get back!!!!
  11. That is so awesome! good luck!!!!!
  12. That's what we're doing. We had 4 monograms created for us...two have our names and two just say "Cancun, Mexico, 2009" We're using the one WITHOUT our names for the bags, travel mugs and the other reusable items. We'll use the one with our names for matches, tissues, etc.
  13. I hope she's ok! I think I saw a post from her a couple of nights ago...if I remember correctly, she works nights...

Otherwise, I think it would be tough for a TV station to wanna cover it since we are a VISUAL medium and need all the pictures we can get. Thanks! I'd say get the word out, get the stations interested and then see if the hospital will allow it. Ann and Paul could always do an interview right outside the hospital. Not to mention, the hospital might be ok with it, since it'll be really good PR for them...seeing how Gwen is doing so good. I'm actually in the process of digging up the right contacts at the local NBC for where they are in CA and where they live in MN. I also drafted a letter to email to the stations. Ann is more than welcome to post it if she wants.
  15. I agree...you NEED to get him an eye patch lol!
  16. Awwwwe That's sooooo sweet My FI was like "cool! Maybe you'll have to buy a new dress because yours doesn't fit and I'll be able to fit into a regular guy size" lol I know guys drop weight a lot faster than women so I'm going to have to try not to get jealous LOL
  17. I figured if we get bored of the soup, I'll make another vegitable soup we love (WW 0pt Vegetable soup). Its basically the same thing, all veggies, no fat. I set my goals in 5-10lb incrimants, so that they're attainable...but then I always have the master goal I read about one guy who would do it for a week, go off for 2 days, and contuned the cycle. I don't remember off the top of my head how long he did it for, but he lost over 50 lbs...so...this will be my plan....
  18. whoohoo! I hope it works and it's real weight, not just water wegith that we lose

  20. To any of you who have been to the MP... Do you know which terrace area is closer to the water? Or has a grest view of the water We don't want to do the coctail hour in a garden or on the sand, but we do want the ocean within view. Any suggestions welcome.....
  21. I would think so...I think you need to potatoe for carbs and the banana's because they're high in certain vitamis and stuff...maybe look into alternatives? (maybe a small bowl of whole wheat pasts instead of the potatoe)
