  1. If it works, I'm sure I'll be doing it again...I have MUCH more than 17lbs to lose
  2. Yeah, it was pretty good (if you like vegetable soup lol). I added some garlic powder and 2 more bullion cubes and I used the whole bunch of scallions (green onions) instad of the three they tell you to. You're going to need a BIG pot to make it. I tried to do it in my sauce/macaroni pot (I usually use this pot to make a big batch of Chili), but ran out of room before I added the carrots, so I used an old pot my grandfather used to use...I had pleanty of room in that one...so start with the biggest pot you have.
  3. Everything looks great! I love her comments on all the pictures! I can't wait to read your review Congrats!
  4. YAY! I actually made the soup earlier...it takes about an hour or so. I had a bowl and FI is like "I thought we aren't starting till Monday". I looked at him and was like "Hun, it's just vegetable soup, I'm not following it, it smelled good" LOL I'm going to make another pot of it this weekend. I know with both of us eating it, it'll go fast
  5. Ok, so Erin's tread about not fitting into her dress got me wanting to do this diet. I think FI is going to do it with me and I didn't know if anyone else on here was interested. They claim it's from the Sacred Heart Memorial Hospital, but when I googled it, it's not. It's very simiarl to the cabage diet that was popular in the 80's. Ok, here it is...let me know if you're interested...we plan to start Monday. Sacred Heart Diet
  6. Hi there I'm a MP bride too...about 2 weeks before you!!!!
  7. I'd say your husband..if you walk with your two sons, then what about your daughter.... It might be windy for candles.....
  8. Have you reminded them of your date sice those first emails? If not, I think splitting it is fair. Since they didn't check and you didn't remind. At least you'll get them in time and they are working with you!
  9. wow! They are beautiful!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that they come in time!!!!!

I don't think it's corney Besides, it's a wedding (vow renewal) it's supposed to have SOME corniness to it!!!! How would you have your daughter (and son?) walk?
  11. I think the dress is beautiful with or without the sleves! Another option, since you're getting married in May, and sleves might be too hot is a long veil, that helps cover the back of your arms...or even carry a light airy wrap...think shiffon. You'd be able to do different things with it and if you got too hot/drunk, you'd be able to take it off
  12. I do love it. And I think pictures on the little bridges would be amazing! FI just didn't want the coctail hr on the grass...maybe I'll just tell him to suck it up...hmmmm....

Have you decided on the MP? I though I read in another post that you were uncertain. You aren't doing it alone! You have all of us!! This place is GREAT for support and ideas, there really are a lot of great girls on here.
  15. Thanks...do you have any suggestions of where to have to coctail hour that is pretty and would make nice pics? LOL There are so many options it's confusing. Plus, I don't know where our ceremony will be. I asked my contact in FL about the locations, and she told me we could do the coctial hour on the beach, but I don't think my guests want to be dressed up and in the sand...next to it is ok, in it...not so much.
  16. What part of CA are you in? And what is your hometown? I work in PR, I might be able to find the right people and draft a pitch letter.
  17. There's a thread describing it...but, Do you have a photobucket account? if not, go to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket and sign up for an account, it's free. Upload your pics there adn then you can "edit" it to be message board sized, then they'll show you several code options, choose the one that is for the image. Copy it and then paste it where you'd type the post, and that's it. Once you get used it it, it's really easy.
  18. The price for the reception depends on the amount of people you have and any "extra's" you add...it's $400 for a table of 10 for 2 hours...so 40 people, for a 2 hour reception would cost $1,600. I believe extending it past the 2 hours is at a discounted price.
