I totally agree with Sodria - about being kind to the guests and choosing the Riu Santa Fe. Although, Riu Palace is more attractive in term of the wedding location.

I will post pictures from Paradisus Rio de Oro and Playa Pesquero when I come back. I will be in Holguin from May 3 to May 10 this year to photograph two weddings in two different resorts. Yes, Paradisus Rio de Oro is now for adults only. I was there in June 2007 and kids were still allowed and I believe they changed that in November 2007.

HI Jenn, Welcome to the forum! I photographed 2 weddings in Mayan Riviera in 2007 - one at the Gran Bahia Principe and another one at the Grand Sirenis. Hi Sandra, I am not sure about group rates, but here is what I paid when I was there in December. I took a taxi from the Riu Palace Resort (which is next door) to the town and it cost me $10 one way. You can also take a water taxi from your resort beach to the Marina and I believe it is $10 round trip.

Hi ccwinn, I shot the wedding at the Riu Palace in December 2007. Here are some pictures: Wedding in Los Cabos When we arrived bride and groom invited everyone to "Welcome Dinner" at the Grill steak house restaurant. For the wedding reception they used Mexican restaurant - San Jose. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Julie, Do you remember - how far is Playa Pesquero from Guardalavaca? I will be shooting 2 wedding in Holguin during the same week in May - one at the Paradisus Rio De Oro (where I shot before) and one at the Playa Pesquero. I will be also doing 2 "Trash the Dress" sessions. I will be staying at Playa Pesquero, but I want to shoot the "Trash the Dress" session in Guardalavaca for the couple from the Paradisus Rio De Oro.
