The regular room was two twin beds that could be pushed together and a tiny table with two chairs. The Junior suites are a king size bed. And then it has a seperate seating area with a couch and table and chairs. It was 100% needed when we were getting ready for the wedding. It was so much bigger. Plus with my neice they needed the extra room so that she could actually play inside the room in the shade! Tlseege, I LOVE the way you set up the ceremony site. I'm thinking i'll do the same and purchase 10 yards of extra fabric prior to leaving. The extra colour looks gorgeous against the beautiful backdrop of the sea. I also like the idea of purchasing extra flower arrangements for the path. Did you coordinate the extra flower arrangements with Yuritzia before leaving for Mexico or a couple days before the wedding?
  2. Thanks for sending over photos of the flowers drai and Tlseege I'm definitely interested in doing the private poolside cocktail reception. Just waiting on Yuritzia or Paloma to get back to me so I can actually confirm it. drai would you have photos of your poolside reception you could post or email to me? what type of bar package did you purchase? Thanks ladies!!!
  3. How is the Arlequin compared to Dolce? I'm trying to see if I can have my dinner there but wondering if it's worth the extra effort. Does the Arlequin have better food and decor than Dolce?
  4. Tlseege, your photos looks amazing. Bahia did a great job setting up your reception by the pool. How were the canapes? Thanks!

You can reserve it until 10:30pm and after that it is open to the public. Hello there fellow Torontonian I'm getting married at the Akumal side on June 4, 2008 and was thinking about doing private reception cocktail by the pool after dinner. How did yours go? Did you get the canapes as well or just the bar and dj option? How did they decorate the area? Do you have any photos you can post or send me? We were going to opt for the disco if the reception cocktail by the pool didn't work out but I think it would be beautiful to have it outdoors under the stars! Thanks!!! Michelle

I would love to have the choice of flowers emailed over to me. I'm trying to get an idea of the type of flowers available so I can bring down a photo of what I have in mind based on the flowers they have available. My email address is [email protected]. Thank you!!!
  7. Hello ladies, I'm getting married on June 4, 2008 at the Akumal side and have been having a hell of a time trying to get a reply from Yuritizia. We leave in 3 weeks and I still haven't received confirmation on a few requests I've made. I would love if any of you brides or brides to be can send me any info on the following: - Dolce or Fruits del Mar Restaurant? I leaning towards the Dolce restaurant. What colour is the decor? How many people do each of the tables seat? - I'm thinking of doing a cocktail reception after dinner by one of the pools with canapes, dj and a bar. Does anyone have any pricing or photos for this? Thank you!!! 3 weeks and counting Michelle
  8. Thanks for all your warm wishes! I can't wait for the big day. I wish it would come sooner! Not much more to do. I'm just waiting for my WC, Yuritzia, to get back to regarding my restaurant choice. Other than that I have a few small things to deal with here and there but I'm not too worried about any of it! Thanks everyone
  9. Thanks and congrats to you as well!
  10. ME TOO :-D I will be getting married at the GBP Akumal on June 4, 2008.
