  1. I can't believe your day is almost here!!! Everything looks fantastic! Have a wonderful wedding and I can't wait to see all your pics!
  2. We printed our own scrolls on resume weight parchment paper. Your invite can be as casual or formal as you want... here's a link to some examples of wording Wedding Invitation Wording Samples by InvitationConsultants.com that may help Here's my MIB invites... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t7653. If you have more questions, let me know! I think it was a great project (also my first) and my guests really loved them!
  3. Great review Lauren! Can't wait to see the video
  4. If you are going to be using the pink/blue elsewhere, I would use the pink logo. I really like the way it looks
  5. We were planning on making petal cones, but we ended up finding large organza bags that worked perfectly! It was a good thing, because the chairs we had didn't have something to hang the cones from Also, much less work since it was 1 less DIY. We also put them on every chair.
  6. That's where I ordered mine from and they were fantastic! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t12714

I just want to make sure I don't break the rules. Where do I post my product? Thanks. First off, welcome! I'm not a moderator, but my understanding is that you can use your 'Newbie' post (i.e. this thread) as an advertisement. You can tell brides what you do, post a link to your personal website/gallery, etc. If you want to post in the vendor's market place, you need to send a PM (private message) to Tammy (screenname Tammy Host). Soliciting is not allowed on this forum - i.e. PM'ing brides with your info/rates etc. If a bride wants to work with you or gather more info, they will contact you. That is one of the main things we talk about in terms of 'breaking the rules'. If you have any other questions, I would recommend PM'ing any person with "Moderator" under their screenname. BTW - you can send a PM by clicking on the person's screenname. Hope that helps!
  8. I'm so sorry to hear that!! Try not to stress (yes, easier said than done), and know that everything happens for a reason. If there is anything we can do to help, just let us know
  9. I'm totally in for another meetup! March is busy for me, and I'm working almost every weekend, but I'm free the 15th, 29th and 30th. If you guys wanted to do a Friday night, I'm off every Friday this month. There is a Cheesecake in Cherry Hill, which would be close to the city with easy parking. Getting together in CC is hard because parking is always brutal!
  10. There have been a few threads on this... many of the closets in first class are too small for a wedding dress. We flew US Air, and I put mine in an overhead bin (with DH's tux - no luggage!). It was perfect when we got to Jamaica, and my dress was duchess silk satin, which wrinkles really easily. The humidity in Jamaica will take care of any wrinkles you get, so no worries...
  11. Love your band Tami!!! Its beautiful! When Sam and I finally got our bands, I swear we each tried them on at least once a day - we just couldn't wait to wear them!
  12. Sarah the book looks great!!! And Jen, as said before, Holy Hot Momma!! You look fantastic! And I just realized that you're wearing a Jets' jersey!!! Love them (yes, I'm a bad Philly girl - but I grew up on Long Island)!
  13. Jen - You're so-oo close! You can do it! And once you're in Mexico, you can eat anything you want! Seriously... no deprivation once you're out of the country! When is your last dress fitting? That was really the point when I stopped trying to lose and just worked on maintaining. For me, that meant eating healthy breakfast and lunch, with some splurges at dinner. The woman who did my alterations basically told me if I kept losing weight, my dress wouldn't fit. That was all I needed to cool down on the weight loss. Besides, I've seen your BD photos... you look incredible! You're done girl... stop starving yourself and just try to maintain all the hard work you've already done

Here are my towels... the design was on the bottom of each towel (not in the center as it looks in the pic). And a link to the thread I started about them - http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t12714 They have designs you can choose from, but for a $45 digitizing fee, you can also do your logo (or whatever you want). They had some really cute designs though as well!
  15. LOL - Alyssa great minds must think alike, because I saw this yesterday and almost posted it - lol. I think its hysterical!!! Have you seen this one? YouTube - Matt Damon on Jimmy Kimmel Live - he gets angry as hell
  16. I had a steel band for my welcome party the first night and a reggae band for my reception. Both were fantastic and my guests loved it! They mostly played Bob Marley stuff, but it really didn't matter what they played, because it sounded AWESOME! I think you would have to talk to the band to see if they could play something specific
  17. Congrats Julie!!! How exciting!! Whatever you all are drinking... please keep it away from me though... at least for a little while
  18. Fun Carly!!! Sam and I took private lessons for about 2 months before our wedding! We really had a blast, and we learned Salsa We didn't do have them coreagraph for us, but it really gave Sam more confidence on the dance floor! Enjoy!
  19. I grew mine out for 6 months, and it was just long enough to put up in a simple twist (was ear length and stacked in the back when I started)! Its about should length now, and all I do is tie it back in a ponytail,.. I guess its time to get my butt in the hair dresser's chair soon!
  20. Yeah... I was in Jamaica when it was taken down And when I logged in after Jamaica, I had about 17,000 unread posts, so needless to say, I didn't read them all! I don't use it that often, so I guess I just didn't notice - lol.
  21. I just noticed the shout box is gone? Am I just late in the game, or is this a new thing?
  22. to the forums and happy planning!
  23. Any thoughts on what they are looking for? Are they beach people, wine people, outdoor activities? If they like wine, there are some great bed and breakfasts in Virginia around Charlottesville that are really romantic and very close to the wineries (10 within an hour's drive). Sam and I love going down there, and in August the weather would be beautiful!

I've been on the look out for hotels that I may be able to get them done at. I had mine done at Philadelphia Bella Vista Bed & Breakfast - it was really great space with a brick wall and cool antique furniture. I think my Jen got a really good deal to shoot there for the afternoon, because she actually didn't charge me for it!
  25. Ok... I just thought of another thing my guests used... we made CD's with some island music. Every room at our hotel had a CD player, and everyone loved them!
