  1. Mo - I'm just catching up on what happened... I'm so sorry! Your doctor sounds like an ass, IMO. I'm an ER doc and I spend more time explaining to my patients what's going on than your doc did. That's ridiculous. No one should be left wondering WTF is going on with their body. Tammy's explanation was right on... and no, you were not crazy seeing 'pregnant' on the home tests. Sometimes there are false positives, but you typically don't get multiple false positives. Again, I'm so sorry to hear about all of this!
  2. Do you have an Ikea? I think they have flashlights for about $1 - and they sell batteries REALLY cheap.

We were very happy with the shots she took, but if there is something specific you want, Robin will gladly take it. She was very easy to work with
  4. That sucks Carly! Our reception site had electricity, so it wasn't a big deal. They had a stereo setup, so we just plugged the ipod in through that. What do they do if they get a DJ? They must have some way of hooking up his equipment... ?
  5. Move went pretty smoothly... though when you move from 600sf to 2500sf its amazing how little stuff you have! I swear that everything we own fits in our family room - lol! Don't really have any new pics, but I will soon
  6. It definitely depends on if you use glass or plastic, the size of the bottle, and how much sand. We had a large glass bottle, about 1/2" of sand, and a SMALL guestlist (or I probably would've gone a different route). We also shipped priority - which was likely not necessary. Ours were about $5 per box.
  7. We used turquoise and red, and I love it! There are a lot of different bright colors that work well - orange, red, pink, fuschia, green, etc... Here's a link with some pics about the same question for aqua... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t13312
  8. Hey ladies! I've been off for over a week now, but I'm officially moved into the new place! The last few weeks have been insanely busy, so I just haven't had time to relax on BDW. That being said, I'm so happy to finally be in my new house!!! There is no way I'm going to catch up on the 15000 posts I've missed, but I hope you all are well!
  9. My DH insisted on wearing a black tux - totally his idea, not mine. It was the lightest material, and he was roasting (in late afternoon, January in Jamaica). He was fine for the ceremony, but then the wind completely died, and we were both dying during the reception. We both changed after dinner, in actuality. I think having a backup is a really smart idea...
  10. Congrats Jen!!! I can't believe your day is finally here, and I CANNOT wait to see your pics!
  11. Glad to hear it worked for you guys as well! I would've felt like a schmuck if you all ordered it and it didn't work as well - lol!
  12. I've been gone for about a week (moving!), but I'm still in I love how many people are coming to this one!!!

  14. We did this and our guests loved it! DH has the playlist, but we had a lot of reggae and vacationey music - Jimmy Buffet, etc - as well as our first dance song and the Hawaiian Somewhere Over the Rainbow (I walked down the aisle to it). Not only did everyone use it in their rooms, but a few told me that after the wedding they were listening to it to try to get back to that vacation feeling. We also bought aqua and red CD's to use (our colors) and used DH's Light Scribe printer to burn a picture into the CD (instead of using a label).

Man, I hate that frigging mall, it's too big and crowded for my taste. It is in KOP - its on the second floor. I forget which store it is near, but there is an entrance that is very close to it. You could probably look it up online. For all you ladies tanning, I didn't bother before my pics. I think I actually started tanning about a week later
  16. Cheesecake Factory, Cherry Hill Sunday, April 27th Time: TBD 1. Alyssa 2. Kelly 3. lauren (need to make this more than 10 characters) 4. Jenn - and I should be moved in by then!!

Lizz - did you book with Jen Campbell? Just curious For those looking for lingerie, Fredericks of Hollywood is in King of Prussia, and they have a lot of options in a reasonable price range. For $100 you could definitely get a few outfits. Besides "lingerie", a sexy bra and panties goes a long way with these shoots...
  18. I asked for a second bag from the bridal salon and just double bagged it. It did just fine. We carried it - well DH carried it - over his arm. It went folded in half in the overhead cabin.
  19. Thanks for all the well wishes We've had a busy couple of days, but the built in furniture (a present from the previous owner) is finally ripped out and in a million pieces! We have a haul away service coming Friday to take out all the junk and carpets, and then the floors start next Tuesday! So far, we're totally on schedule! Its a huge mess right now, but in 2 weeks, I think it'll be looking pretty good! I'll try to post some more pics tomorrow - it seriously looks like a condemned house right now with piles of particle board everywhere - lol. 20. Oh... that reminds me... Sunset at the Palms is opening a new resort on the cliffs... I think it opens in Nov 08 as well. The grounds looked pretty when we drove past it...
  21. I think its a really cute idea, but maybe you could do it with a polaroid or like Paula said, have someone 'in charge' of it? I think it would definitely eat up your photographer's time if they did it, but its a really cute idea
  22. Yes, we're in Cherry Hill. I'm glad we made the decision to rip the carpet up now, and not once our 2 cats and dog and furniture were in. It was fairly easy to get the carpet up... its about 20-30 years old! But, the padding is completely disintegrated from the age and the dog pee. Its disgusting! Luckily, the floors seem to be somehow have been spared the stains, and they're in really good condition! We were so happy to see that! Its going to be a lot of work, but so worth it! Hopefully, we'll have the floors refinished, pack and be moved by the end of the month! (I won't be on here much for a little bit, but when we're done... I hear a BDW bbq in the future!)
  23. I spent part of my honeymoon in Negril, but didn't see this resort. Sorry I would definitely try tripadvisor, and the forums on fodors.com were also really helpful when we were choosing a place. I'm sure you'll find someone who's been there on fodors. The cliffs are tough because most of the resorts are a little smaller. The beach hotels just tend to be more geared to a larger group.
