  1. Yes that was my question too.. are you just staying on Oahu? I would suggest going to other islands if that is an option.
  2. I didn't get married in Jamaica.. but I had petals on the beach for my wedding instead of a runner and they didn't blow away at all! I think they just stick better when it's directly into the sand instead of on a smooth surface. You would probably be okay
  3. Wow that's just so crazy. And bite marks?? WTF? What is wrong with people? I hope he's dealt with appropriately!
  4. I also picked a DW dress from David's Bridal. I would definitely check there. There is probably a couple of good stores on Maui where you could buy a light white dress too if you aren't wanting it to be formal. Photographers there are expensive however. We used A Dream Wedding Maui Style - A Full Service Wedding Coordinator on the Island of Maui as our planners.. they did a great job
  5. You and FI have to decide what's best for your wedding. If you want it in Key West, have it in Key West! No matter where you decide for a DW someone is going to complain about something. Lots of girls planned their wedding on here without going on a site visit first. You don't necessarily need to go down to Key West to plan the wedding.. were you going to get a wedding planner in that area?
  6. That was my wedding dress too and I loved it!!! Good choice Quote: Originally Posted by kiki317 LOL- i was the same as you- i hate decisions ans once i started looking into it there were just too many to choose from! LOL Get the dress you fall in love with- dont' worry it's out there! here's a pic of mine it's from David's Bridal - i love it! I go for my second fitting next week!!! OK i don't know how to attached the pic so here is the link: David's Bridal - Floral print satin/chiffon burnout halter gown with beaded empire band. good luck!
  7. Congrats Kelly.. that's a really nice name
  8. He's toooo cute Shelley.. and I love the name
  9. I agree with Carly and Heather All of your other BM's can do MOH duties.. and I would definitely talk to your friend who is bailing on you.. that's just crap
  10. 100% Gmail.. hands down. For all the reasons Casey mentioned above. It's fantastic.. hotmail does not even compare to it.
  11. Fuschia/hot pink and orange always look good together I think. Those are definitely tropical! That way you can have a more "girly" colour and a more "manly" colour.. heh
  12. I believe the green copy IS the certified marriage certificate. Almost every company you change your name with will want a copy of that marriage certificate. Some want a real copy, others will be okay with a faxed copy. That is why you order extras. Usually ordering the extras gets them to you in the mail faster than that one copy. Depends how busy they are I guess
  13. I think what you did looks better than the Sephora girls' look. Smoky eyes are definitely a fine balance.. you want it dark enough to show up in pics, but light enough so you don't look "overdone".. especially on the beach
  14. Congrats and welcome.. where in Maui are you getting married? We have a pretty good Maui section for you to check out here
  15. I heard about this too and it made me sad I bought lots of OOT bag stuff there last year and now I buy scrapbooking stuff there. It's got fabulous things!
  16. Wow what fantastic news!!! That is so great and such a relief.. yay!! Have fun in Jamaica
  17. That was my question.. does your FI ever talk to her about this? What a tough situation to be in.. I'm so sorry.
  18. I don't have alot of makeup tips for you but I gotta say I'm jealous you have a Sephora!!!! I'm dying for one to come to Vancouver What's taking so long?? Grrr. I do like BachataBride's tips though
  19. I say let someone else do it. The salons there will be used to working with frizzy hair because they live in that area right? Tell them exactly what you want, bring pictures and explain about your frizziness.. they should be able to do it right!
  20. Hmmm.. sorry you had such a bad experience at DB. The one I went to in Washington was great.. and for sure they asked me if I wanted to order the dress in or take the one off the rack. I would definitely order in a new one if you don't like the one you have. Maybe even go into a different DB and explain the situation.. they might order in a new one for you.
  21. Happy Birthday Ann.. have a great day
