Honeymoon Registry - What do you think?

She specializes in Jamaica and was REALLY helpful! We are also doing an in store registry at Bed Bath and Beyond, for those that don't feel comfortable with the honeymoon registry idea. That being said, we are having an AHR a month after the wedding. I really hope people will use our honeymoon registry though - we live together and really have everything we need! The lady's name doesn't happen to be Patti Jo does it? Quote: Originally Posted by gkashmira My friend at work did it and loved it. Then when they sent their thank you cards they included a copy of the picture. anyway incase you decided to do it and want to be ambitious about how to thank people! We were totally going to do one at the same place (I posted a thread about it somewhere - I have no idea where it is now) but then I got lazy and well Indian tradition has people sending money anyway so we just used the money for our honeymoon I love that idea. I think it makes it so special that ppl can actually see you enjoying what they picked out. Then again, money is always good... -
When Grandma Trades ya in for a 'Roo
JaimeLynne replied to jajajaja's topic in Just venting or funnies
Oh no! Can you express to your Grandma personally how much her being there truly means to you?? That's what I would do - pull out the tears and everything, don't hold back! I think it's very important for her to see your true feelings on this. I would be so incredibly hurt and sad if my Grandma didn't show up for my wedding!!!!! I bet once she sees how much her being there matters to you she'll come through for you! Sorry you're going through this. I know that's gotta hurt. -

honeymoon registry

They were probably more excited about it than we even were!! I found this off of Patti's site and am looking into it. We definitely don't need a bunch of "stuff" - we've already got a house full of "stuff" What we would REALLY LOVE to have is a dream honeymoon! This is perfect for us! I'm glad to hear your family is excited about it. I was worried that it might come off as tacky... Has anyone here done a honeymoon registry? We've already got a house and most of the things to go in it. We don't really need or want china or other dishes/kitchen appliances that we'll just have to move again eventually... What we'd REALLY love is an AWESOME honeymoon in Jamaica!!! So, be honest - do you think it's tacky to go this nontraditional route?!?

FYI it turned out great! Thanks Tammy for the recipe - James said it was the best he'd ever tasted!!

Isla Mujeres

Most just aren't practical (or in our budget) Are there some other RM locations that fall somewhere between Cancun And Isla Mujeres? Have you checked into Playa del Carmen?? I love that town. -
Hi and welcome! I've been to Isla de Mujeres before but to be honest it was during my Senior Trip in HS and we took the "booze cruise" over there so I don't remember a whole lot! I do remember lush surroundings, lots of mosquitoes and a cool show they had set up for us. Sounds like it'd be an interesting place to check out tho! Hopefully someone else can give you some better feedback... good luck!

Need Advice about FMIL situation
JaimeLynne replied to Mel's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I say bring FFIL's wife with you and then give FMIL an "extra special" task to do. Explain to her what a HUGE help it would be to you. It's amazing how moms personalities can change when they feel needed and wanted. -

There are soooooooo many resorts to look at and it can definitely be a daunting task but in the end you will find the right one for you and it will all be worth it! Meanwhile, we're here for you!
