I agree with Kate, I think you should have enough time. We did a site visit back in June and stayed for 4 nights. Unfortunately I was really sick so we didn't do much but meet with 1 wedding coordinator. We also realized almost immediately tho that the hotels we were looking at were not for us. So, we're going to do another site visit hopefully in December (hey, it makes a great excuse to travel! ) We may do 4 nights again so that we can also have a little vacation time but I think you could get everything done in three days if you're on top of it. Have fun!

When Martin proposed to me there were beautiful calla lilies and orange-mango-ish roses. I just saw this bouquet and it looks really pretty. I think these are calla lilies but can't tell for sure - what do you think? Oh, and here's the bouquet that was there when he proposed:

I personally wouldn't tip since you're already paying them a good chunk of change for their services. This topic has come up before on here, and a lot of the photographers said they wouldn't necessarily expect a tip but something like a nice thank you card or small gift as a token of your appreciation is always appreciated.

I agree with the 100-200 dollar donation. As for a gift - do any of y'all paint? Coming from an artistic family I know that paintings/pieces of art always make great gifts and people genuinely love receiving them. Or maybe you could find one of Kendra's (did I spell that right?) photographs that is spiritual in nature and have it blown up and framed. You also write poetry, correct? Maybe you could write something to go along with whatever you give him. I think something like that would be a beautiful gift that he would really appreciate and truly cherish.

If you like everything else about this place then I'd say just try and roll with it. The blankets/sheets on the ground do sound like a good idea for those who get tired of/can't stand for that long. Good luck!
