  1. I know ~ I can't wait to get there in December!
  2. Here are some pics of the hotel grounds and rooms:
  3. Hi, and welcome! I am planning on getting married here: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...e-regency.html and having our guests stay here: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...n-pv-pics.html For a more detailed description of our personal plans, check out this thread: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...ns-update.html Hope this helps!
  4. We already know "through the grapevine" that most of FI's extended family will not be coming, but we still plan on sending them STD's and invites. I say, you never know - they might come! Plus some of them are so far away it's a good way to keep in contact and let them know we are still thinking of them...
  5. That's a great idea! And I think if you're staying at a Non AI resort it's an extra bonus! People can save $$$ by filling them up with beer and ice and chilling by the pool (assuming the hotel is cool with that).
  6. Definitely Maria (Mikkistreak) for BTB ~ She's gone so out of her way posting budget spreadsheets, etc. Good job girl! Mrs. ~ Hmmmm, Kelly (dragonfly) and Jamy (Starchild) Good luck ladies!
  7. Great shots Jill ~ looks like so much fun, what a great looking couple

I can't wait until reviews start coming in!

The food and views are supposed to be good too . . . too bad Thanks for passing that on! Jamy - this is where you ended up having your WD tho wasn't it?? I'm confused because from everything you've said the experience was top notch vs. Ann's not so much. What was the difference do you think

This was invaluable for mingling because everyone was sharing food and food is quite the unifier...lol You could do it quite inexpensively at BT if you just selected a few tapas and drinks rather than a full menu. See my review :http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...ona-tapas.html Where is BT located? Also, I'm looking for some authentic Mexican food. I was going to start a new thread but I figured we had enough restaurant threads already So if anyone knows of a great Mexican food restaurant with a cool authentic atmosphere please let me know! I'm always amazed at how little Mexican food is served in Mexico (well, at least near the resort areas). We will be staying in the Marina area FYI. TIA

Hi Lorilou, I am also planning on having my guests stay at the Westin. Have you tried going through a travel agent yet? Honestly, that is your best bet. Often they can get prices lowered, bonuses, etc. for you that you yourself couldn't get otherwise. I think they'd also help you with the issue of a deposit, although I haven't gotten that far yet.
  14. That was great Kelly! You look so relaxed and joyful ~ that's good to see.

Abigail Dueñas is a very nice lady, probably as you mentioned is the language barrier, if I can help you with some translation , just let me know. Thanks Edna. Actually right now we just want to know if it is possible to rent out their Royal Beach Club room for our WD. Where is the patio? I wonder if the Pergolas might be an interesting place for a WD... Our 1st choice for the ceremony is at the Mayan

People are so weird. Anyway... I got married at a Hacienda, not a resort. We had to rent it for the week. Most of the vendors I got through the Hacienda. It was wonderful. I highly recommend the area, from what I've been told the weather is almost perfect year round. For more info about the Hacienda.. www.haciendalastrancas.com home page That place looks breathtaking. Congratulations on your unique and beautiful wedding!
  17. Awwwwe, Kelly those pics are beautiful! You and Everton make a stunning couple. I'm so glad to see these pics ~ it's looks like you all had a great time and a wonderful wedding! Btw, this is totally off topic but we just saw the movie Dragonfly and your tattoo reminded me of it. If you haven't seen it, it is a wonderful movie.
  18. Elizabeth, I have been looking at your website for the past hour and the photos are AMAZING. I love how they are all unique and capture the "specialness" of each individual couple. Even your shots of seemingly random things come out beautiful. Me encanta esa pictura de la cerveza delante de los flores: It looks like a brilliant ad that would be found in a magazine. (Maybe you could even send it into Pacífico and see if they'd be interested in using it in their advertising...?!) You have a great artistic eye and I can feel the passion in your photographs!

    Hello

    Welcome to the forum Matt!
  20. WOW, that was great! I've heard so much of San Miguel de Allende. I really want to go travel there sometime. That hacienda was BEAUTIFUL! Makes me want to rethink PV (won't let myself go there tho, lol)! I love the colors in the pictures.
