  7. yes those are the two most expensive times and if you are looking for 5 star quality - unfortunately you are going to have to pay for it - Why not have a more intimate wedding - say 15 people and do a reception back home for everyone else. Let your guests know the prices and if they want to come they can - if not the reception will be another opportunity to share in your love. You can use some saved budget to help those who are attending with the cost if you like.
  8. Wether you are working with a TA, airline or directly with the hotel dont hesitate to ask questions - you will find them very friendly and forthcoming.
  9. Azuls five is an amazing but inexpensive 5 star with a beautiful sky terrace venue (other venues as well) You will be hard pressed to find any negative info on it I do not know much about the other properties so I can not speak to them
  10. Did you ever thing about doing a mini reception afterwards in Colorado that everyone that cant make it can attend? I know it adds to the budget but it allows some people that want to come but would have to break the bank the option. Poll your guests and see what everyone has to say - some may need the vacation lol
  11. That is such a wonderful venue - dont forget to check out the DIY section on here for some awesome ideas
  12. You probably have started - but check out their packages and start asking your TA every question that pops in your head - in Mexico things change daily so its always great to get up to date information. If you are a DIY type check out that section on here - these ladies have some seriously awesome ideas
  13. Have you been to Jamaica before? We were looking at it but decided against it because so many resorts we read that there was a lot of marijuana use and we have a young child
  14. Check out Grand Bahia Prinicipe Coba - not overly pricey but lots for the kids to do. Also if Dominican is an option Memories Splash is amazing as well
  15. Let me know how it goes - would love to visit on our honeymoon/wedding annivery.
  16. 800 is a very low number - you are looking at closer to 1500+ per person for a nice 4+ or 5 star AI resort. If you can find a nice complimentary or reasonably priced package - some on that 12000 may have to be to help guest costs if you expect to get near that price point. talking to TA will give you a much better idea of what you are looking at and for
  17. Yes there are definite rules - mexico 3 days prior - Barbados - no time limit, etc make sure you research this - an experienced TA can be a huge help in this
  18. Yes TA can be a huge help - The day is yours but it is also a vacation for your guests - look at your demographic and plan accordingly There are many great options that wont break the bank and be a dream come true
  19. Start by thinking about what is important to you - what defines you as a couple and work from there are there many kids attending - maybe something family friendly witha water park? all adults - adults only as to avoid the masses
  20. The sky terrace location is to die for - hope you have an amazing time
  21. if you are extreme beachbums - moon palace's beach may be a little disappointing - it is a tremendous resort all in all (Very big) but the beach leaves something to be desired
  22. Conrgrats - i hope everything worked out for you
  23. Get a wedding planner - they usually have great contacts at the resorts and can be a serious help when chosing packages and locations - will set everything up for you before you even arrive
  24. Sandos is on our short list - Carribean Fanatasy all the way hehe
