  1. If you haven't thought about it, call a TA who specializes in destination weddings (there are great reviews on this site about TAs and the host is one) and tell them your price range and areas you are interested in. They will be able to point you in a good direction. Congrats and happy planning!
  2. His pictures look amazing! I am contacting him now! Do you still have his pricing information?
  3. Hmmm, are tons of OOT forums, including one I was reading yesterday about unique stuff to put in OOT bags. But, so far, I have liked the typical stuff like medicine and also Sudoku books for down time, personalized stadium cups, especially if you are at an all inclusive. I am drawing a complete blank. But, good luck and congrats!
  4. I am getting married at Dreams Los Cabos and am also using Teresa. I kept adding resort choices, taking them away, bringing them, but something kept bringing me back to Dreams. Ultimately it's going to have to be about what you like. I ended up going with Dreams based on the reviews on here, the all inclusive aspect, the reviews I got about how the resort photographed from different photographers and the reviews on Trip Advisor. As soon as reserved my date, I started having buyer's remorse and started looking at other places just because I felt like I had made a haste decision. I am however, still with Dreams! LOL. I say make a pros and cons list of each resort, that's what I did. As far as four months, I have seen many people on here do it I just know I couldn't! I can't make decisions easily (obviously) and my guests would need more time since I have about 45. Congrats and good luck!
  5. I think that having a TA has put me a little more at ease.
  6. This has been the hardest part for me as well. I would piggy back what was said before, contact a travel agent whose focus is destination weddings, tell her your budget and your priorities and let them help you narrow it down. Congrats and good luck!
  7. We also were facing the same issue. We have lived together for over a year and don't need anything. We did decide to to ask for anything because guests are already going to be spending so much money to get there.
  8. i can't wait to make it to 150 so I can go back and download all the things I want to use! Thanks for the post!
  9. This is going to come in handy as well. Thanks for the posts!
  10. I agree with what has been said. My FI and I have decided that even if it's only the two of us, we will be there and we will be happy. Good luck!
  11. Are you doing a rehearsal dinner and a welcome dinner? I am toying with the idea of doing a welcome dinner ona cruise but I don't know how your guests are about being on water. Heck, I don't know how mine are about that either now that I think about it.
  12. We are also staying 9 days at our resort but we want to stay even longer than that so more than likely we will switch, but only because I have a timeshare down there.
  13. How is your wedding planning going?
  14. I know sometimes it can be hard to manuever through the wealth of information on here. I just secured my date for Dreams Los Cabos for May 25, 2012. Keep in mind that your 500 deposit is not non refundable for a certain length of time. I only say this to say that November is coming up. Anyway, as far as pricing goes, I am sticking to a 12K budget max for 40-45 people and it looks like it will happen so far, it may even be a little under. Also, our guests are paying 160/pp pn, but again this is for a May 25, 2012 wedding. I hope this information helps some. Good luck!
  15. I think I am going to get in trouble on Etsy.
  16. I am so seriously thinking about doing e-vites, especially since we have 45 guests and 90% of them are younger and internet dependent.
  17. Yeah, I am doing OOT bags so I think those will count as the favors as well.
