  1. Like most people have already stated, we put aside money each month. We tried to each put at least 1000.00 in each month...that way, even after the wedding is over we are still building another savings. I am the financially savvy one out of us and frankly a budget whore so it has been an interesting experience getting us together but I think the wedding has actually helped.
  2. You look gorgeous!!! Looks like you guys had a fun time with the shades.
  3. Ah! We leave in 6 days! Some of you ladies are coming back soon or are already back! I hope you guys had a blast!
  4. Congrats MRS.! I can't wait to see the review!
  5. My colors are gray and yellow so here is my inspiration. Jennifer Hatton will be doing the cake and we will be using a real yellow calla lilly.
  6. When we were planning an at home wedding the guest list was about 200 people. We did not want that. We ended up sending out 30 invitations and 26 people are coming. We got some negative feed back and I got removed from a few facebook pages but dah well.
  7. Hi, I am using Enrique Morales for photography and videography. I know you have photography already but maybe you can check out videography there. He has been awesome to work with. His website is emweddings.com
  8. Looks like almost everyone is gone. So excited for you guys and can't wait until I leave in 13 days!
  9. I am not exactly sure where this should go and I am sure it has been mentioned before but I haven't seen it and I love to share a good bargain. For all of my fellow Cabo brides that also want to go on excursions and try new restaurants, please do yourselves a favor and check out this site. It has a wealth of information with printable maps, restaurants, nightlife and lots more. But, most importantly, they partner with a lot of the favorite restaurants and excursion companies there and you can by vouchers to use directly at the partner company for 65% face value. For instance, I love the sunset dinner cruises so I just bought vouchers through loscabosguide.com for the Cabo Mar sunset dinner cruise. The cruise is normally 59.00/pp but I paid 39.00/pp. I also bought other vouchers and they are mailing them directly to me. I have used them before and they are very reputable! I hope this helps someone!
  10. Sorry for the delay but yes that is correct, you only pay the 95 total, which includes the 62 for the wedding. I am using emweddings.com for photography. Suzanne Morale is down in Cabo San Lucas, so 15-20 minutes. I work with Alina and the new florist place. Dreams only allows you to use one of the two vendors, the second was recently added and has reasonable prices...they also respond quickly.
  11. Congrats to all of you that are leaving soon!!! My final dress fitting is tomorrow!!! And I keep having dreams that everybody hates the wedding and my dress and everything else. Blah. May 25, 2012 is right around the corner and I keep thinking of stuff I haven't done.
  12. I have been told that around that time it is warm and pleasant during the day but can actually be kind of cool at night. My wedding is at 5 on May 25 and I went back and forth about fans and then decided I would probably actually need pashminas instead!
  13. I'm natural and have no idea what to do with my hair, especially since I will be there 5 days before my wedding. I have no idea what to do because I have a huge fro.
  14. The way my TA explained it to me, in order to get 3 free rooms you would actually need to have 18 rooms booked. You actually have to have a 6th room booked to apply the free night too, even though technically the credit could be applied to your master room. Additionally, we were told that all of the numbers will be figured out on the day that all payments are due, which should be spelled out in your contract. I am getting married there in May and my final bill is due April 9th, including all of my guests rooms. On that day we will know how many rooms are booked and how many credits we will get, of course, after that point last minute bookings will count as well. Are you using a travel agent?
  15. This is an awesome thread! I am an attorney specializing in Family Law and Criminal Defense.
  16. Mine are per person, so 25 bags. BUT, I got my bags at cheaptotes for 0.89/each and my mom is doing screen prints on them when she gets in town tomorrow.
  17. One free room based on double for three nights at 160/pppn would be 320.00*3=960.00 back. Two free single rooms would be 205.00*3=615.00 + 205.00*3-615.00 which would be 1230.00.

  19. Oops I missed a questions. As far as the meals, you HAVE to try the puff pastry filled with shrimp. It was amazing. There was a scallop and spinach appetizer as well that included mozzarella, but it was just at thick layer of cheese laid on top of the scallops, wasn't a fan. The tuna salad was amazing BUT we went with the cream corn soup. I am not a fan of cream corn but my goodness that soup was amazing, it as a shrimp wonton type thing in it, lol, it was great. Then we tried the chicken breast filled with tiger shrimp, it was awesome. The beef tenderloin was okay but it was cooked well done and I prefer medium. You can pick up to three main courses BUT you have to give them exact head count for each meal before hand. The desserts I don't remember too well but we ended up just picking the brownie with ice cream because of course the wedding cake will be there.
  20. We definitely went before the room block cut off date. Our was just a few weeks ago. The weather in December as GORGEOUS during the day. low to mid 80s, but quite chilly at night; mainly windy. The beach was already booked for the day of my wedding so I am at the gazebo with the reception at Cascada Terrace as well! I am also renting the sound system and have been working on our wedding play lists on our iPod. During the ceremony I am using the system as well during the first part of the ceremony and then my best friend is singing, a microphone does come with the rental. Happy Planning!
  21. I keep reading mixed answers and some of them are older so have any recent brides had any issues getting preserved, or freeze dried, petals through customs in Mexico?
