  1. Hi Amara~ I don't know where Celeste got hers, but I got the same exact iron-ons @ Michaels- the best part is that they were only $1 each (they came asst- they had flower girl, mrs, and a few others). Then I just bought the tank tops at Old Navy on sale for $5 bucks. I made them for my 2 girls...much cheaper than the $20-$25 ones I've seen online...it only took a few minutes to iron them on, and they came out really good!
  2. Aaronlori, that's such an excellent idea! Did you see this somewhere or did you just think of it? I'm surprised I haven't seen more brides do this (or maybe I just live under a rock, lol) Anyhow, thanks for sharing!
  3. Thanks for sharing- they came out amazing! I've seen these as diy before but wasn't sure how people made them, lol. I may attempt these, we'll see, haha. Thanks again!
  4. Dreams actually has their own honeymoon registry too. Here's the link: http://dreams.honeymoonwishes.com/. We're thinking of doing the Dreams Registry and maybe a small registry at Bed Bath & Beyond, for those who don't want to do the online thing. My fiance and I are on the same boat too- bought a house last year-and really don't need more bath towels and coffee mugs : ) I also figured it couldn't hurt to have a little birdie drop hints on the family (the little bird being my FMIL, lol) that perhaps cash would be the most useful gift, since we're paying for the entire thing ourselves and already live together. Even though its a dw and def way cheaper than a traditional wedding, costs are still adding up and a litte extra help in that dept would be wonderful! Has anyone done this before and/or know a website or something that we could do something like that on?? THanks
  5. Oooohh thanks for posting all this Sharon! Love your invites, your shoes, your bridesmaid dresses and also this site: http://www.asianimportstore.com/oilpappar.html They have great stuff!
  6. Thanks for posting- everything came out awesome! I'm sure your wedding was a blast- love the colors you chose too! It's funny, I've had the picture of your OOT bags saved for a while, but couldn't remember where I had copied it from...now I know! I remember thinking "that's exactly how I want my bags to look like"...then a month ago I came across them at Christmas Tree Shop, but I didn't realize they were the same as my "inspiration pic" (your bags!) until I noticed the colorful handle when I got home! I have to say, I absolutely love them-perfect for the purpose (and cheap too- best part : ). Also, thanks for posting about your maracas, you answered one of my questions...I wasn't sure if they would mix colors, but I guess they will if I call... Great thread!
  7. Your dress is sooo pretty, it looked perfect on you! Looks like you had a beautiful wedding...congrats! (I also love how you glued the starfish onto your sand ceremony vase...may have to borrow that idea : )
  8. Awesome, awesome planning thread Celeste! I love everything! Your dress is great (looks better on you than the model btw), I love your colors, your jewelry, your shoes...I could go on and on! I really need to get it together, haha...great job! Oh and PS: your DIY station looks ALOT neater than mine!! (a.k.a the living room floor, kitchen table, computer room... ; )
  9. Lmao, that is too funny...I totally agree! I need to keep my guests away from this site altogether...
  10. Wow, what a great planning thread! Everything looks amazing! I love this site because everyone has such great ideas and creativity...but it also reminds me of the 1001 things I have left to do, lol. Plus every time I log on, my list gets bigger and bigger! Thanks for sharing everything~ bookmarking your thread for inspiration : )

  14. Hello! My fiance went back and forth with this for a while. We finally decided to just let everyone book on their own- we're not using a TA. We didn't want to do that, but we felt like it would be a huge headache for us (and added stress) if we did room blocks. I contacted several TAs, and all the rates we got were more $$ than online prices. I asked if they would match online prices and most said no, because it was already a special rate. The big thing for us was that we HAD to block a minimum of 10 rooms (at least that's what they told us), which we would have put down a $100 deposit on (so $1000). If we couldn't fill all 10 rooms then we'd lose our deposit for those unfilled rooms. Since we're having a smaller wedding, I didn't want the pressure of making people book through the TA, when they could just book on their own for way cheaper (the package deals were usually cheaper too, air + hotel). Idk, I just pictured us having like 5 rooms booked and then almost "begging" people to book through the agent so we wouldn't lose $. We ended up booking OUR trip right when the air rates came out as packages (about 11 months out) and it ended up being about $800 cheaper than what we were quoted. I will say, there are many benefits to having a TA and blocking rooms (like not having to pay in full right away), but it just didn't work out for us. Anyway, good luck and congratulations!!
  15. Ugh...I agree about this whole DJ situation. How frustrating! I really feel for you brides whose weddings are around the corner- I thought having a DW was supposed to be more stress free, but I guess not...I don't understand why the resort is making everything so difficult! My wedding is still about 7 months away so I have some time, but I really wanted to book this and be done with it. I guess this is why Ana keeps avoiding my questions and repeatedly sending me Visual Sounds info...
  16. WOW, these are soooo adorable! They look amazing! Congrats on finishing your first DIY project!
  17. All your stuff looks great! I'll have to check Macys for FI's outfit...he's clearly not concerned with what he's wearing yet~our wedding's in December, so he still has some time, but I may have to drag him out soon, lol. I really like that suit. I can't believe you already have 26 people booked! No procastinators in your family, I guess, haha. We only have 9 booked, and I'm sure it's gonna be like pulling teeth getting the others to jump onboard...oh well : )
  18. I love this idea...i think its a really nice way to include everyone : )
