  1. So true and important to keep in mind while planning all the details.
  2. For those who think it will be trashy- WHATEVER?! You will have a beautiful wedding and the on;y thing trashy is their nasty comments.

We're getting married at Hacienda Tres Rios- an eco friendly, sustainable resort. It's a small resort and therefore, it's intimate. We didn't look at any other places so I don't know price-wise how it compares to others. You can use outside vendors. There are several ceremony and reception options as well. Good luck with planning- you are in the right place!
  4. These are beautiful! I think we are going to do whatever standard one the hotel offers...yikes....i hope it's a good one!
  5. I saw some on Oriental Trading's website....they were really cheap so I can't imagine they are real! YIKES!
  6. My FI is looking forward to getting to spend time with me and my 10 year old sister (she's staying with us for 5 days).
  7. Great ideas so far! Keep 'em coming!! The shell and sand is a great, local, eco friendly option too!
  8. I would contact the most important people and see if they can make it for a Friday. Those are the most important people who count and if they can come then go ahead. This is a tough situation. Sorry to hear you are in this.
  9. I checked out the link above- I never considered a cruise! Good option!~
  10. Don't have any suggestions, but I think that's an awesome idea!
  11. Thursday night will not be an organized dinner, but we will offer a shuttle down to PDC 5th Ave to go to a club. People who don't want to do the club or who have kids can walk around and site see/shop. Most people will be there that night so we will see if we can get everyone to go to the same restaurant. At the very least, the "Welcome Letter" which will be in the rooms when guests will arrive will say where we are having dinner and also a comment about the night out in PDC.
  12. hmmm....sounds like it could be fun and you might have a lot of family there which might be important for you, but also sounds like there could be some challenging situations. If you guys can sort of talk out your details before making a commitment and honestly talking about what obstacles you may face it's better to get those things cleared up ahead of time.
  13. We're hoping to use DJ Doremixx, for hair and make-up Fernando Fuentes, Photography by Aki Demi. We also want to use a cigar roller, but no name yet. Also a mariachi band-no name yet. Set up is being done by Planner 1 Events. No video. Not sure what else there is.
  14. We're having 60 or more people for our DW. We are not doing assigned seating for our welcome dinner since it's beach BBQ and super casual, but I think we will for the wedding. I think it makes it easier and makes it more formal. What do you think?
  15. You'll find great, creative, interesting, unique ideas!! Welcome and have fun!
  16. This is the best site ever!! Welcome!
  17. We'll only have 3 days after the wedding with some guests still there. We will take one day to do our own excursion and one night for an alone dinner (we may get more than one night). So our "real" honeymoon" will be six months later in July when I am off from work (I work in a school) and hopefully it will also be a babymoon!!
  18. We live in Philly and want to travel somewhere romantic- and I am hoping to be pregnant! Any suggestions??
  19. That's such a great idea! Congrats!`
  20. It's great that you are on this site with so much time before your wedding! You will find so many wonderful and helpful hints!! Welcome and congrats!~
