  8. Hey Kendall - sent you a PM, let me know if you have more questions
  9. My hubby & I had a long distance relationship for 2 years when we first started dating. He lived about 3 hours away. We knew it would be tough but learned so much about each other talking on the phone and every weekend he would either drive up or I would drive down to see him so we made it work but in the end we have such good communication. Like Meagan we have been together for 5 years and going on 3 months married!
  10. Also remember that the prices may change based on when you are getting married. I think the prices out right now are for 2010 weddings.
  11. Hey guys! Room category can be tricky. My parents were in the French village & I must say I wasn't impressed at all by their rooms. Definitely needed updates. The rest of us were in the Italian village which was amazing but also very expensive (I wouldn't book these rooms normally) we got these as upgrades. Initially we booked the lowest priced conceirge suite because like Michelle we were told in order to have the government fees paid for we needed to have that level room.
  12. Sounds like fun! My hubby & I think St. Lucia will be our next island visit, it looks beautiful : )
  13. Congrats & welcome to the forums!
  14. If it is just the 2 of you there is plenty to do at the Beaches resort plus, like Heather said, the wedding fees, etc are included with a conceirge level room. It is definitely great for small groups.
  15. I wore a short dress & it was still a little warm, I think it would have been even worse in a long dress. Just depends on what you want for your wedding. Also, if you are closer to the water for your reception you will have a nice breeze.
  16. Hooray! I am so glad it is working out! I missed the beginning of all these posts because of work but I am glad there is a happy ending!
  17. Congrats & welcome to the forums!
  18. I wouldn't worry too much about rain...our weather report also said rain the entire time we were there but it didn't rain a drop. It looked like it was going to a few times but literally just blew by us. I took benadryl cream & hydrocortisone, thank goodness because I probably wouldn't have slept from itching so bad from the "chicken pox" bites, ha! But I get like that no matter where I go down south so it's not just the island : )
  19. Hey Heather, we flew in on delta from Philly & our tickets cost $540/person. (our travel dates were Tuesday to the following Wed). It's definitely much cheaper to fly mid-week than weekends but be aware that T&C flights are generally higher than other islands (according to my TA).
  20. I would have to agree with Meagan, we were there for 9 days and with the wedding and everything by Monday (2 days after the wedding) we were just feeling relaxed like it was a "vacation" and not wedding mode and we had to leave Wed so me personally, I would have liked a few extra honeymoon days just to enjoy ourselves more on the resort than what we had time to do (things like the glass bottom boat - didn't get to do, etc...)
  21. Congrats & welcome back! We loved Turks as well & were so happy with our decision to get married there. Can't wait to hear your review.
