Just had lunch with my FI!! We only get to do it a few times a year, but I love seeing him in the middle of the work day! AND my FI is being SUPER cute and sweet! He knows how to make me smile!

Why is that 95% of my office HATES my boss because they can see how he is an a$$ and a micro-managing jerk EXCEPT for the people that could actually do something about it Why is it that my boss THINKS he knows what he is doing but he doesn't?? How the *&%$ did he get this job?

Oh I am extremely indecisive and it makes going through life a little difficult. Knowing this, I have my FI to help me. What I have been doing is picking my top three choices (top three cakes, resorts, invites, etc) and let my FI make the final decision. This has been working out perfect since I don’t have to try and make the decision on which one and the FI feels more involved. With my dress I took my Mom and my brother’s gf to help, but I actually made the decision on my own. Everyone loved one dress on me, but I felt that my FI would love the dress I ended up getting and I feel more sexy and beautiful in my dress. I would also suggest that once you make a decision stop looking! If you choice a resort, don’t keep looking at other ones and if you choice a dress stop looking at other dresses. You will only confuse and frustrate yourself. Good luck!

Leaving on Sunday and dress... Doesn't fit!!!
hat0112 replied to ~*DiAnE*~'s topic in Just venting or funnies
That’s great the other seamstress is able to fix your dress. I can’t imagine how you felt having dress issues so close to leaving. I hope your dress comes out exactly the way you want it! Good Luck! -
I agree with everyone and it seems you are better off without her. You are starting a new life and have friends that truely care for you, and you don't need someone who would text you that she doesn't want to be friends.

I’m sorry you have to deal with this. My health insurance is horrible too, but thank god I don’t have anything serious to worry about. If getting legally married now will help the situation, then I saw why not? My FI and I are getting legally married before we go to Aruba and we both agreed that it is not our wedding and we aren’t married till the ceremony in Aruba.

cupcake receipe - 1 point.......so delicious....so easy
hat0112 replied to FutureMrs.L's topic in Weight Watchers Forum
I recently heard of this through Hungry Girl. She actually says you can do it with other cake mixes and sodas, like vanilla cake and diet lemon lime soda (ie Sprite and 7-Up). I still haven't tried it yet though. -

That may be too much for some of you to read, just skip that chapter. I definitely agree with everyone. It is a good read, but they make it seem like if you aren't a vegan then you will be fat and die soon. I did skip the slaughterhouse chapters. I felt that was very unnecessary to go into so much detail. They only did it to scare you into being a vegan and if begin a vegan is the best thing for you; you shouldn’t have to be scared into it. I will say I do recommend it and I also have the cookbook. It is good to be informative about being a vegan and that lifestyle.

How many meals a day is good to stay healthy and fit
hat0112 replied to rabicamail's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
I think everyone has a different approach to how to lose weight. Obviously you will have to go through a trial and error period until you figure out what is best for you. I think there are a few key things that will help put you in the right direction. 1)Try and shoot for 5 meals a day, with a minimum of 3. Eating every 3 to 4 hours will keep your metabolism up. 2)Drink water. Many people don’t drink enough water and end up eating when they really are thirsty. I would try and shoot for 6-8 glasses a day, more if you can. 3)At least 5 servings of fruit and veggies. They help fill you up for less and they are loaded with vitamins and minerals your body needs. 4)Eat protein and CARBS. I hate it when people say no carbs. Carbs have the most servings a day on the food pyramid for a reason. It is unrealistic that you will never eat carbs for the rest of your life and once you start eating them again the weight will come back. Your body needs a ton of energy a day to function and the main source is carbs followed by protein. I’m not saying to pig out on carbs, just include them in your diet but make sure they are not white. Only whole wheat pasta, brown rice, whole wheat bread, and other forms of grains. 5)Try and workout whenever you can and try and do other activities other than the treadmill. Even someone who is in love with the treadmill will get sick of it if it’s the only thing they do. Try and get a workout video or see if your cable provider offers free ones. 6)Don’t beat yourself up if you trail off your plan. No one is 100% perfect. There is always another meal to get you back on track. Good luck! -
Spanx vs Victoria Secret body shapers- POLL
hat0112 replied to Jacqueline's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
I never tried VS’s shapers but I do have a spanx and love it. I wore it for a wedding I was in last NYE. It worked great and it was very comfortable. I wore it under a strapless dress so I couldn’t attach it to my bra (I tried and it dragged the bra down) so the spanx settled down a bit and it actually gave me a waist! I have no waist at all so it was a nice surprise that I happen to stumble upon. -
Small Wedding - what itinerary?

AH Thanks for the idea!!!! We will probably be having dinner at one of the resort restaurants and not a private reception and I was wondering when we would get our first dance in, but having a cocktail hour and doing it then would be perfect! -
a reception with NO DANCING????
hat0112 replied to SASSYGIRL's topic in Wedding Music & Entertainment
If we have enough people for a reception (instead of dinner at one of the resort restaurants) we will have my ipod playing and if people dance, than great. We have quite a few people that love to dance (including me) that are attending the wedding. I think even if we end up not having a reception and only dinner, we will end up going out to a club to dance. -

Ok, so every year, on every possible gift giving occasion I struggle to get my FI a gift. He tells me he doesn’t want anything and he is so hard to buy for. So on May 3rd it’s his 34 birthday. We happen to be going to Riviera Maya from April 27th to May 2nd for a friend’s DW. I was thinking of doing something there, but I’m not coming up with anything (and my hotel/TA wasn’t helpful). I was thinking of a romantic dinner on the beach but I accidentally told him and I can’t do it now. He isn’t active, not into music, and no watches or jewelry. I’m already getting him BD pics for the wedding that I have somehow already managed to keep secret. I know I can’t be the only one who struggles to get gifts for the guy in their lives. Does anyone have any ideas or cool gifts they got or did for their man? In Mexico/vacation or not? I’ll take ANY idea!! Thanks!!!

Live til I'm 80. Would you rather be able to drive (a car) or have $1,000,000 and never be able to drive anything for the rest of your life?
-
Never. I think those shows are for people how are dying of attention and a little crazy. (I'm sorry if I offended anyone) If money wasn't an issue, would stay at your current job or do something else?

I need to tell myself the first one! I HATE my job! I LOVE Friends!!! Chandler is the best and I remember that episode!! One of my favorite quotes is one that I heard in my Weight Watchers class that I tell myself all the time when I am struggling with food. "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels."

Overwhelmed and need some help
hat0112 replied to snow88's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
Maybe you should get prices from a TA for both November and January. If you can save up the money you need then do it in November, if not, then January. I would have a welcome dinner on Friday. If you are concerned for costs and might not do a wedding dinner, maybe only have a welcome cocktails party instead of a welcome dinner on Friday night. I know a few people here are doing that (possibly including myself). You can do a heavy appetizer dinner for your reception. I don’t think that is a problem. I know a few brides on here are doing that also and some are just have cake and a champagne toast. There are no rules for DWs. You can do what you want for your wedding. Most people have never gone to one so they aren’t expecting anything.
