I told my FI this and since he is getting a black suit he is convinced they will have a lighter material suit for him at the end of September! SOOO stubborn. Oh well, I warned him. He will regret it when he is sweating in Aruba with a heavy material black suit. Quote: Originally Posted by chong Me too! The time is flying by and I feel like I haven't accomplish much. I feel like I should have everything done and I can't even do certain things until I get my final count from my RSVPs and people booking (I don’t care how much you SAY you are going, unless you book then I don’t consider you going). My RSVP deadline is 6/30 and I told everyone they need to book by 8/31. Everyone booked but 5 people. I just want to have everything done so I can breathe again!
  2. Ok, so a few months ago I had crazy baby fever. For about a month now it has gone away . I have now been worried about the actual expensive of a baby and it freaks me out! I have NO IDEA how we will pay for a child and it is ruining my baby fever! I want it back! Has this happened to anyone else Any way I can catch my baby fever again PS- Congrats Purpleshells!
  3. My FI and I just registered at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. We invited only 90 people to the wedding and only about 20 are coming. A lot of our family and friends want to send us something and I know my family wants me to have a shower. I figure I rather register and get things I want then not register and get things I don’t like or need.

Got a bunch of decorations, OOT bags (nothing to go in them yet) and CD tins----I've got to get moving!!! I way behind the "slackers". Thanks for being here. No one, even FI, wants to talk about the wedding all the time---so glad I have you guys. Welcome! It doesn't sound like you are way behind and you still have time. Ha, My FI is the same as the rest of them. He keeps telling me it will take him a day to get his suit so he won't go out till October! I am going to try and convince him to at least go in September!
  5. My FI surprised me at work and took me to lunch, then we picked out and ordered our wedding bands!!! YAY!!!
  6. Ha, this thread is great! I wish I seen it sooner! Oh the tackywedding.com site is great! I just can’t believe people would do those things! I don’t have a good wedding story like everyone else, but my FI and I have said that we won’t do the bouquet and garter toss at our wedding. We had a bad experience at a wedding last year when we were screamed at and told we ruined the wedding when we didn’t want to get and stand in front of 300 people for the bouquet and garter toss. Of course we weren’t the only ones they screamed at, there were two other couples they yelled at, one was engaged and the other was dating for 10 years. And one of the 2 women doing the yelling, one was MOG and the other the groom’s sister, the groom’s sister was engaged and she was refusing to stand up there but yelled at everyone else to go up there (even the DJ told the grooms sister she should stand up there and she gave the DJ a face that would have scared the devil)!!! We both don’t like to be the center of attention, hence the 20 person DW and not a 200 person wedding at home. So we now disappear when that part of the wedding comes up.

I want to make a t-shirt for the plane ride. The tank I got is my Mrs. tank that I want to wear the day of the wedding.
  8. I agree with everyone and I would go with one towel per person.
  9. I sent my invitations out 7 months before the wedding. We sent them at the end of March/beginning of April for our 10/22/10 wedding. We didn't do STDs and I wanted people to have plenty of time to save money if they need too and book early if they wanted to get discounts. I don't think it is ever too early with a DW. I think you could send out your invites out, then maybe do the brochure.
  10. I got a tank top that I made off of Customized Girl. They had alot of different designs and things on there and the tank top was only $2.97.Customized Girl - Design Custom T Shirts Online I found the website from a thread on here. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...-2-97-a-58641/
  11. I think black mugs will be nice and I like the idea of doing black and teal mugs. Vistaprint has mugs and I just got an email that they are 50% off this weekend. I am getting more stressed. I am starting to feel like I have so much to do and its not getting done and I am running out of time.

As the days rolled by, more nail colors "loosened" so I had to peel them off, but at least they peeled off in one piece! I am sure it was the salt, sand, and chlorine water that majorly contributed to it. So in total, it didn't last even 2 weeks intact, but was very nice when it wasn't peeling... Hat0112, I also thought that the color didn't match what it was supposed to be exactly either. That's what mine did too. They all got loose around the edges in about a week or so, but the french tips chipped in 24hrs.
  13. My weight definitely goes up when TOM is here. I am always bloated that entire week. I also get crazy hungry that week so I end up eating more. Then I spend the following week getting my weigh back to where it was! So frustrating only have 2 out of 4 weeks in a month to lose weight!
  14. I haven’t heard of the CND Shellac, but I have tried the OPI Axxium manicure. The first time I got OPI done it lasted over 2 weeks, but the color was suppose to be a hot pink/red and it was a bubblegum pink on my nails (not too happy about that). The second time I got it done I was fixing up the house and cleaning and the manicure chipped and didn’t last 24 hours. I did get the French OPI manicure, so maybe that is why, but I was pretty upset it didn’t last. I know I was cleaning but if I can’t clean with the manicure lasting how will it last while I am in the ocean and in the pool?
  15. Jannae- I’m sorry you have to go through this one month before your wedding! I wish I could help but I am in PA. My FI and I JUST finished moving into a new house. We bought a new house on 3/10 and finally finished repairs on the old house and moving all our stuff into the new house. And finally got the old house on the market last Friday. I only moved 30 minutes away, but I can understand how stressed you probably are. Moving is a lot of work, but just remember how great it will feel in a 6 weeks being in LA with your new hubby with his sweet new job! Just take one day at a time and every thing will be fine!
  16. I just got an email for a tee for $2.97. Try this code and see if it works: 297TEE.
  17. I don’t think you need to send out a letter since you didn’t send out invites. But do you think everyone will still go to the wedding if it is a DW? I just know that my family would have gone to a big wedding at home, but because of money, 99% of them aren’t going to ours. If they all would go to the DW maybe you could just tell everyone you are only inviting immediate family only to the DW, but everyone is invited to the AHR. I agree with MDLady and maybe you should look into resorts that offer free weddings when you stay at the resort. That way you can save some money on the wedding and have an AHR. I just went to a wedding in Riviera Maya at the Excellence and I know they offer a free wedding it you stay there. Where were you two going to have the wedding when it wasn’t a DW? Maybe that is the city where you have your AHR and only have one since 2 would be so much more money.
  18. It’s Friday and it’s beautiful outside! My Boss will be gone for 2 weeks!! Our old house is finally going on the market today (hopefully we can stop paying 2 mortgages soon)!!!

I wanted to do custom bags and I wanted canvas ones so that's why VP was great for me. Here are bags I almost got. They come to $1.66 per bag (our colors our black, white, silver, and ivory)Black Tote Bags

I know that we will tip the WC even though everything includes tip in the price. I think you might have to tip something, but you need to find out if your vendors included tip in their price our not. Can you have the vendors send you a break out of their costs and it should list the tip on there if they include it.
  21. I just got my tank tops! They came out great and they fit pretty good too. Just got a promo code for tees for $2.71 so I might order some of those.
  22. You look great in all the dresses! If you think that the last dress would be the one, except you don’t want to do the TTD session in it (I’m assuming that is what you meant when you said role around in the sand), you could just get a cheaper dress that is similar and that you won’t mind ruining. David’s Bridal has $99 dress sales, you could get one then. That way you can wear the dress you want on you wedding day and not have to worry about ruining it. PS – My favorite dress on you is the last one! You really do look great in it!
