  1. planning a wedding : I enjoy doing
  2. Just remember...it's not too late to switch TA's And I know there's got to be a way to handle the transfer without losing your deposit. I'd bet money on it. And I only say this because when we were originally booked to go to Beaches Negril, we booked with another TA. She was great in the beginning, but then once we made our deposits it was harder to reach her and get answers. So I talked to a couple of TA's (including TA Jennifer) and both assured me that the transfer could be made. Because we needed to switch the date and the resort, I just ended up cancelling our original booking, and then switching TA's, so I never actually had to transfer the exisiting reservation, but like I mentioned, I know it can be done. You say you aren't happy with your current TA, so I really would look at switching now, instead of when it gets closer to your date. At least you know TA Jennifer would make sure everything is taken care of for you. JMO
  3. Hey Janine - I haven't really asked Monique about the music options because I'm pretty sure we are just going to use our iPod. So the only musical info I have seen is just what is offered in the Beaches wedding package. My wedding date is my late grandfather's b-day, so I am walking down the aisle to Somewhere Over the Rainbow, as it was a song he would sing to be when I was little YouTube - OFFICIAL Somewhere over the Rainbow - Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwo?ole What song(s) have you been thinking of walking down the aisle to?

Not sure about the others.....

  6. hmmmmmm I had never thought about a maternity top, but that's a great idea and I bet it holds the girls up pretty good too. And Erika - I looked at the link you posted and those tops are super cute!!
  7. Hi Jennifer!! I think you should feel very proud that they slected you to speak at the Sandals dinner! Obviously they recognize that you know your stuff!! Congrats!! Thank you for all the wonderful updates!! I LOVE the updates scheduled for St Lucia, as we have been debating between St Lucia and Antigua for our one year anniversary, but I think the over the water bungalows could be the deciding factor!! Do you know which St Lucia resort they are scheduling this for?
  8. mmmmmm that sounds yummy...but absolutely horrible as far as calories and fat content goes, lol. I'm trying to make Canada next July so I might be able to take you up on that offer By then my wedding will be over and I can eat crap again...hahahaha.
  9. Beautiful pictures and I agree...I love the idea with the shells in the bottom of your sand cermony vase
  10. I'm so jealous V!! Right now we are only booked for one week. We leave on the first, but I'm trying to see if we can at least squeeze in one more day and leave on 4/30 instead.
  11. Yep...I have already booked with her as well She's awesome!!! But thank you for the feedback anyway!

I have no idea what that is?? LOL

Thanks ooooh that's a good question!! I hadn't even thought of that. I'd def like to hear from other ladies on this, especially if you are a little top heavy like me!!
  15. I'm glad that you feel better about your decision Just keep reminding yourself that this is MORE than just a vacation...it's your wedding!! You are going to have the vacation of a lifetime and tons of beautiful pics to remember your special day. I forgot...are you using Tropical Imaging for your pics or no? I wish we could find a direct flight out of Chicago as well, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen unless they add new flights between now and when we leave. I keep looking at prices every day and right now they are still high. I've even looked at flying out of Milwaukee, OH or MI (we could drive to FI's parent's in MI and then all fly down together). But the cost is the same or higher at any airports. I'll just try to be patient and wait it out.......
  16. omg, FI would love a coffee themed wedding, LOL. I mean I love coffee, but FI is just insane with coffee. That's pretty much all he drinks...coffee or water. Between just the 2 of us we drink a full pot every morning, and on weekends it can be closer to 2. Maybe I could do a coffee flavored groom's cake for our AHR....hmmmmmm.
  17. hiding something : don't like to do
  18. Same. Our colors are fuchsia and orange...and the closest MS theme to our colors is the sunset package and there is no way I can justify spending $6k for a 10 person wedding!! That's just insane. So we are opting for the beautiful beginnings and will hopefully be able to make the changes we want.
