Danielle, congrats on your wedding! Can't wait to read your review and look at your pics. Enjoy your time while there. I have a question regarding hiring an outside photographer. I've been told by the resort that they don't allow outside vendors, but I've also read on the forum that they have been able to bring someone from the outside. Does this mean that they really don't enforce that rule at the resort? I would love to hire an outside photographer. Would I be able to just bring them in with a day pass, and do I have to tell them that it's a photographer coming in? Thanks for everyone's input.

your dress is absoluetly lovely. don't think for a second you look stupid. when i found my dress i was absolutely giddy and started acting like a 4 year old. love makes you do crazy things.

I just got my monograms and I absolutely love, love, love them!!! They were done by Allurements by Rebecca and let me tell you Becks is amazing. So patient with all of my changes. Hope everyone likes them! :-)

From the very beginning I wanted to spend $5,000 on my dress. I guess it's because around that time I started watching Say Yes To The Dress and the only dresses they were showing were in that range. My budget has since dropped to no more than $3,500 since my dad will be paying for my dress. Now with everyone's posts about the prices and budgets, I don't know if maybe my price is set too high. I want a very pretty dress and thought you had to spend at least 2 grand to get it. Since I'm starting my wedding dress shopping in about a week I really need to get it together. I blelieve the resort would make arrangements for a separate room for my FI, but I remember reading so much about so many resorts I could be getting my information crossed. If anything, my family is very big on that tradition so he'll probably stay with cousins of mine.

I served as a witness to the legal portion of my FBIL's wedding and I remember getting no gift. And if I recall, we all went for lunch afterwards which my FI paid for. Interesting... It would have been nice to get something from them though, so maybe getting them a little thank you wouldn't be so bad.

I was hoping to have them at each of our guests' hotel room when they arrived. Wondering if the resort would even do that? If not, then handing out the bags during the time when the entire family gathers for the first time.

Mike and I dated for 7 years before he proposed. We were already living together, so I knew it was coming, it was only a matter of when. We're going to be together for 9 years before we tie the knot. Talk about getting to know your partner thoroughly well, LOL.
